The weekend passed quickly because I had fun with Jace and Dylan, and eve a couple of their maids, because they're about our age. We went to a carnival on Saturday and I rode on the Ferris wheel with them. It was good fun, but then when Jace dropped me back at my place, reality hit me like a punch in the face. I wasn't sad, no, I had cried way too many tears to cry over my pathetic life any more.

On Monday, I got off the bus and smiled at Lynn. "Thanks Lynn."

"No problem sweety. You need a ride after school?"

"No thanks Lynn, Jace is going to give me a ride. Thanks for the offer though." I smiled and waved, walking away down the street to KHS. Jace drove up beside me and drove super slow so we were going the same speed.

"Hey sugar, what's up?" She said in a ghetto-ish voice.

"Oh nothing much, just walking to school like a regular 'rich girl' does." I rolled my eyes when I said 'rich girl'. Everybody at school except select individuals(i.e: Jace and Dylan) thought I was a rich daddy's girl who got whatever she wanted whenever she wanted it. I let them spread their lies, I just ignored them.

Jace laughed as she pulled into a parking space and I waited on the hood of her car. I internally groaned as I saw Jason and Kyle walking across the field, eyes set on me. They both smiled and I smiled back. Jace sat with me on the hood just as the guys walked up. "Hey girls." Jason greeted us with a friendly smile.

"Hey Jason, hey Kyle. How are you guys this morning?" Jace asked.

"We're good." Kyle answered.

"Well, I'm sorry, but I need to go find James. he asked me to...talk to him today." I lied smoothly as I excused myself from their conversation. Jace smirked and winked at me knowingly, but thankfully she didn't say anything.

I waved goodbye to the guys and walked away. I walked across the field to the football pitch, and guess who I saw practicing there? Surprise surprise, it was James. Did I forget to mention he was a football player too?

Why yes, yes you did.

Oh Alicia, you wise, wise girl. Note the sarcasm.

I walked over and sat on the bench, watching him thow the ball around a bit before he looked up and noticed me. He smiled and jogged over.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Hey. So...where's, um, Blaise, was it?" I asked, trying to remember his name.

"Yeah, that's his name. He's over there." He pointed to the stands. "I've already showed him most of the outside of school, do you think you could show him around to his classes? I saw his schedule, he has almost all of his classes with you, except Math."

"Hey! How do you know my schedule?" I laughed, punching his shoulder jokingly.

"No reason." He shrugged nonchalantly.

"James! Tell me! What did you do?" I laughed.

"Okay, okay! I hacked into the school's network, with the help of my nerdy brother, and I looked at your schedule. Oh, and I might have changed the lunch menu today from lunch meat to pizza." He chuckled mischievously.
