Chapter 19

Okay guys...i am SOO SOOO SOOOOO SORRY! D: I promise i'll be working as much as possible on this story from now on :) Okay? Okay. :)

P.S: I wrote a ton for this chapter, but then i was like, i don't like this chiz, so i deleted it and restarts hehe...

I ran over to Nikkia, who was speaking animatedly to a police officer outside of the hair salon. I sighed a breath of relief when I saw that Nik was holding Bells in her arms (A/N: I originally made it so that Bells died but then i was like...nah, i don't wanna kill a kitty :3). "Nik what's going on?" I asked her as I ran up to her. I hugged her quickly and she smiled.

"There was a little fight in the shop, no big deal, but Danny's gonna be in the hospital for a while..." Nikkia replied. I looked past her shoulder and sure enough, Danny, one of the only guys working at the shop, had what looked like a broken nose and a broken arm too.

I winced and Nikkia handed me Bells. "Can you take her and go see Drake and Chase? I'll meet you there in a few. I'm going to check on Danny."

"Okay." I smiled and took Bells before walking across the street to Drake's shop. I walked in the door and Chase ran up to me.

"Hey Avril! What's going on at the salon?"

"Danny got in a fight." I shook my head and stroked Bells' back.

"Damn. Okay, Drake's in the back if you want to talk to him, and I'll be at the counter." I nodded in reply to Chase and walked to the back.

Drake was sitting in his chair at his desk, with some papers in front of him. "Whassup buddy?" I asked him with a smile.

He raised his head and looked at me before smiling. "Hey Av. Chase told me there's police cars in front of the salon." Drake said before taking Bells from me and putting her in a little cat bed he kept for her when Nikkia needed him to babysit.

"Danny got in a fight, and he's gonna be in the hospital for a while with a broken nose and a broken arm and probably some other injuries too." I replied to him, shaking my head and thinking of Danny.

He nodded and went back to looking at the papers. I walked back out and went to see Chase at the desk. I smiled when I saw Nikkia there, talking with Chase...and it looked like they were...

Flirting?!

I screamed happily in my head and grinned. They would make such a cute couple! I walked over to them and smiled at them. "I'm heading to my place, Bells is in the back with Drake."

Nikkia and Chase both nodded in acknowledgement before going back to their flirting. I giggled as soon as I walked out of the store.

I smiled as I walked into my apartment, but I was surprised to see that there was smashed glass on the ground around the window, which was non-existent now. My smile faded quickly and I went to check for everything important. I saw the picture of my mom, my dad and I, I checked my bedroom and everything was there, so I checked the entire apartment and found that everything was there. I sighed a breath of relief, thinking that the person had broken in looking for something valuable, but found nothing so they left.

I snapped my fingers as I remembered that there was one thing that maybe someone who was a complete pervert would want. I ran into my room again and looked for the picture of me with my cheerleading uniform on.

It wasn't there.

I called Jace's house as soon as I found out. Of course, I was having a mini-freak-out! A pervert had stolen one of the only really really nice pictures of me!

I said this to Jace, and she said she would be over soon. I sat down on my small chair and started shivering. It wasn't cold, it was actually very warm, but I was shaking from the fear.

The fear of someone who could be...stalking me.

Jace, true to her word, showed up at my door seven minutes later. "Aw, honey! Are you okay?" Jace exclaimed, running in and hugging me.

I nodded. "You want something to eat? Wait...never mind. You want some water?"

Jace got this really quiet expression, and looked kind of sad. She nodded anyways, and I got up to get us both a drink. When I came back to the living room, I sat on the table and told Jace to sit in the chair. She refused though, and practically forced me to sit in the chair.

"So, what happened?"

I told Jace how when I came home, there was glass on the floor, and I checked for everything, but then I realized that the picture of me in my cheerleading uniform. She gasped and kept glancing at the broken glass on the ground around the window. "This is bad...this is really bad..." Jace murmured.

I nodded and put my head in my hands. Who would...

Oh.

My.

God.

I screamed, "Oh my gosh! Jace, remember when you said that there was this guy who was looking only at me at the game two weeks ago?"

Jace slapped her hand over her mouth in shock. "Y-you don't think...?"

Before I could reply with a nod of my head, I heard the phone ring. My face contorted from sadness into confusion as I went and picked up the phone hesitantly. Not many people knew my number, or my address for that matter.

When I picked up, I said, "Hello?"

The line was silent for a minute before a young woman's voice sounded from the speaker. "Hello? Is this Avril?"

"Yes, it's Avril."

The girl on the other line sounded like she had started crying. "Oh my god..."

"What is it?" I asked anxiously.

"Avril, this is Maya, your cousin."

I dropped the phone, and quickly cursed before picking it up. "M-Maya? Is it really you?"
