OMG CHAPTER 20 OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG MY BABYYYYYYYYY :O

"Yeah, it's really me." Maya choked into the phone.
I started to cry. "Don't you hate me?"
"No! I never did, my mom forced me to!" My cousin cried.
I cried harder and we kept chatting. All the while, Jace had said goodbye to me and left after I told her I would tell her about everything later. "So, where are you right now? Where do you live?" I asked Maya, holding the phone between my ear and my shoulder as I got my broom and started sweeping up the broken glass on the floor.
"I live only about an hour away from you! Do you want to come over?" Maya asked happily.
I grimaced as a piece of glass cut my finger a bit. "Um, I can't. I don't have a car."
"Oh! Sorry, I forgot! Should I come over to yours then?"
"Sure!" I said happily.
"Okay! I'll be there soon!" I gave her my address and we said goodbye. Right after I hung up, I dialed Jace's house.
"HA! I GOT THE PHONE DUMMY! BOO YAAAA!" I heard Dylan's voice yell. I held the phone away from my ear and laughed.
"Dylan! Put Jace on the phone please!"
"Ugh, FINE. OOOOOOOH JAAAAAACELYYYYN!"
I laughed again and heard Jace yell at her brother before answering the phone. "So? How did it go!"
I told Jace all about how Maya was coming over and all of our conversation. "So, do you want to come over?" I asked her when I was finished telling her our conversation.
"No, I want you two to catch up! Maybe I'll come over an hour after she gets there, okay?"
"Okay, thanks Jace." I said. We said goodbye and when she hung up, I returned the phone to it's place, I pulled my shoes on and grabbed my wallet before walking onto the fire escape. I trotted down the steps and when I reached the bottom, I jogged down the street a bit to the grocery store. On the way, I looked in my wallet and found fifteen dollars and a few cents.
I walked into the grocery store and looked up and down the aisles for food. "What do I need again?" I muttered, looking at the coffee. It was way too expensive for me to get, so I passed it.
"Oh, so Princess goes shopping, too?" I heard a voice call out from behind me.
I instantly knew who it was. "Hi Blaise." I sighed and spun on my heel, to see him standing back at the coffee with his annoying smirk on his face.
"So, are you getting some caviar for your parents' fancy party or something?" He asked, smirking wider and completely blowing off my greeting.
My heart panged when he said 'parents', but I didn't let it show in my face. "No, my cousin is coming to visit."
"Is she taking her private jet?"
I rolled my eyes. "She lives an hour away, Blaise."
"So?" His smirk got wider, if possible.
"Just leave me be, Blaise. I need to be back at my place in ten minutes."
"'Just leave me be, Blaise!'" Blaise mocked me, chuckling.
I turned around and ignored him, walking off. After that little run-in, I tried to remember all of the groceries I needed. I left the store hoping I had everything.
When I got back to my apartment, I quickly prepared everything and cleaned up a bit, not that I needed to anyways. I heard a knock on my door, and ran to it with a grin on my face. I opened it and saw a girl with brown hair, the complete opposite from my blonde hair, but she had the same blue eyes as me. She seemed to be three years older than me, which seemed appropriate "Maya!" I exclaimed, hugging her.
"Avril! Oh my gosh, it's been so long! You look beautiful!" My cousin gushed, pulling away from me and looking at my hair and my face.
I blushed a bit. "Thanks! You do too!"
We both laughed and I invited Maya into my apartment. "So...this is where you live?" Maya asked. It was a fair enough question, but I could tell she was pained asking it.
"Yeah, but it's alright, I guess. It's not too bad living here. I'm close to school, and I have a few jobs just on this street." I said from the kitchen, so obviously she could see me, while I made what I had left of coffee.
"I don't like it here..." She asked me nonchalantly.
I came back into the small living room and sat down on the chair opposite my cousin, handing her a mug of coffee. I smiled wanly, "It's not so bad when you've lived here for quite a bit of time."
Maya nodded and looked down at her coffee, leaving an awkward silence for a minute. "Let's get out of this awkwardness and onto booooyyyys!" Maya said excitedly.
I laughed, great way to break the silence Maya! "Alright...you have a special boy in your life right now?"
Maya turned a deep shade of red. "Weeelll..."
"Come on, spill!"
"Okay," She huffed, "Well, I have a best friend who's a guy, and we've known each other since kindergarten. Now, we both go to the same university, and...I don't know, I have feelings for him, but I don't know if he likes me back." Maya took a long sip of her coffee, "One minute, we'll be flirting, and the next, he'll act like we're only friends. He confuses me so much!"
"What's his name?" I asked her, also taking a sip of my coffee.
"His name is Cody." If possible, my cousin blushed redder.
"Aw! Why don't you tell him how you feel?"
Maya rolled her eyes, "It's the classic 'best friends falling on love' story, I'm scared that if I tell him how I feel, and he doesn't feel the same way, we won't be friends anymore. That would crush me."
"I think you should tell him how you feel. It sounds like he likes you back, by the way you described him." I suggested, smiling at her.
Maya smiled back at me, "Thanks Avril, I'll do that. Now...you got any guys in your life?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
It was my turn to blush now. "Nooo..."
Maya reached over and poked my arm. "Aaaaavriiiil! Who do you have a crush on then?"
For some reason, Blaise's face popped up in my mind. I shoved the image to the side, yelling at Alicia the entire time.
I swear, I'm not a psychopath.
"No one..." I sighed, looking at the cup of coffee in my hands. I didn't want to tell her...
"Come on! I won't tell anyone! Avrrriiiiilllll!"
"Ugh, fine. I like this guy, kinda, I don't know," I groaned, "I'm so confused by him, and my feelings for him."
Maya nodded understandingly. "What's his name? This guy you kinda-sorta-maybe like."
I took a deep breath and prepared to confess something to her that I hadn't even confessed to myself. "His name is Blaise. Blaise Janx."
