Ella and I eat dinner with Adalie, her
Uncle
Aunt,
Her younger cousins,
Whom she affectionately calls petites merdes,
Earning her a "Language, Adalie!" From the adults.
"You speak French really well," Ella mentions halfway through the meal.
"Yeah I lived there untill I was five," Adalie says in between bites of beef bourginon.
"Also I go to France for a month every summer.
Actually I just got back last week."
This comment, of course, leads to us peppering her with questions like
Is it true that everyone dresses fashionably in France?
(Yes)
And where does she stay?
(Typically in Paris, but because of recent events
She now stays in Nice)
And is the only food they eat croissants?
(No).
