And then there was you..

"Do I look okay?" Raven turned around, presenting her tight black maxi dress.
Octavia turned slightly red at her girlfriend's appearance while Clarke just put both thumbs up smiling.
"You are stunningly beautiful."
Raven gave her a warm thanking smile.
"You don't look bad yourself."
"Enough flirting." Octavia pouted and got up to embrace the taller brunette. "You do look gorgeous."
"Says you." Raven placed a few small kisses on O's pouting lips, until her pout turned into a huge smile.

Other single ladies would have complained or turned away by the sight of any couple kissing or being cute, except Clarke. She was happy for both of her besties and watched them with pride. Seeing them happy, gave her joy and a feeling she was sure she could never feel herself ever again. Love.
When she looked down on her arms to give her friends a little privacy, she noticed her scars slowly fading. She was glad because any scar would remind her of the pain she tried to move on from from a year ago.

"Guys.." she cleared her throat as Raven's mum disappeared faster from the scene than she walked inside.
"I think it's time to go." She chuckled.
"Whyyyy.." Octavia groaned as she had a hard time separating herself from her girlfriend.
"Your mother in law just walked in on your cuteness."
"Opsie." Raven rolled her eyes. "I really don't fancy playing the good daughter in front of everyone as soon as I'm out of this room."
"Don't be so dramatic, it'll be fine." Clarke slowly shove Raven's body towards the door. "What can go wrong anyway?"
"Ehr everything? I have to socialize with my family?" She groaned.
"And what's wrong with that?"
"It's my family, Clarke. There's a reason why I always slept at yours or Octavia's when we had family celebrations."
"I think it's pretty rude you never introduced us to your whole family." O' grinned mockingly.
"Trust me. You both will understand why I always pretended having no family at all. They're horrible. Plus my sister is going to be there and moods will go down in seconds." Raven rolled her eyes as the three walked down the stairs.
"Why is that?" Clarke asked.
"You've got a sister?! Why didn't you ever tell me?" O' interrupted and Raven immediately wished she had never invited these two.
"Firstly, I've never told you because she stopped being my sister a long time ago when she preferred her boyfriend over me and my mum and secondly, because her boyfriend is a fucking douchebag and no one would ever realize that, even less her." Raven's perfect facial features turned into deep frowns, revealing that she wasn't quite over her sister drama like she pretended to be.

Seconds later, the girls stood in the middle of Raven's garden and were surrounded by a dozen of people.
Clarke cleared her throat.
"I thought this was a family celebration."
"It is." Raven answered.
"That's insane man. Your family is bigger than Clarke's and mine together." Octavia let out a small hysterical laugh and rather wanted to survive the night without being introduced as Raven's girlfriend to the whole horde of people.
"I told you.." Raven's good mood was already fading. "People will try to talk to me any minute. I will just give you one tip guys. Steer clear of my great grandma Elenor and my great aunt Emma." Raven pointed her fingers on two ladies whilst Clarke jerked at a memory of a certain face flashing her mind.
"They will never let you leave ever again and I don't think you both want to hear any embarrassing stories about my mum and her siblings running around naked."
Octavia made a face. "No thank you. I'm still in shock about your childhood stories."

"Raven!"
A tall dainty brunette with long brown wavy hair and forest green eyes ran towards Raven and embraced her tightly. She wasn't much older than Raven but one could see a slight resemblance in both figures.
"Lexa.." Raven freed herself from her grip, much to Lexa's disappointment.

That was when Clarke noticed the brunette. It was when her black and white picture colored itself by magic.

"That's my sister." Raven mumbled and Lexa concealed her disappointment, turned around to Octavia and Clarke and put on the biggest smile Clarke had never seen on anyone's face before.
"I'm Lexa." She waved shyly.
"Octavia and Clarke." Raven said coldly. Lexa nodded.
"Can we talk?" She nearly whispered.
"No we can't." Raven's voice echoed through the garden and some people turned around in curiosity.
One could see the uneasiness in Lexa's eyes so that Clarke couldn't help but let her heart betray Raven.
"Maybe you both should go inside and catch up." She gave her friend a begging look but Raven crossed her arms and shook her head.
"There is absolutely nothing left to talk about, because nothing will ever change, right Lexa?" Raven smiled sarcastically as her sister's eyes became glassy.
Octavia elbowed her girlfriend in the side with a warning look on her face.
"What?" Raven snapped. "It's the truth! Lexa will never change and even if she did, she can't make things undone." With that she walked off but not without clashing her shoulder against Lexa's.
Octavia gave the brunette an apologetic look before she ran after her girlfriend.

"I'm sorry." Clarke whispered but Lexa just ran inside the building with her hands covering her face.
Without hesitating, the blonde followed her upstairs but the brunette locked herself in Raven's room before she could even reach her.

"Lexa..?" Clarke gently knocked.
"Please just go away.." Lexa sobbed in between words.
"Raven didn't mean it, she's just upset." The blonde sighed. "Just open the door."
"She meant it."
Clarke rested her head against Raven's door, hoping the brunette would open it.
"No, she didn't. She's just stressed out about these family celebrations."
"You know nothing." She heard from inside, and that were the last words she ever heard that night of the brunette's mouth.

-
Raven slipped into her pajamas and brushed her teeth and hair. The strong curly hair strands Octavia had taken a lot of painstaking work, slowly faded into slight waves.
"Thanks for crashing at yours tonight.. I just can't stand being in the same room with my sister."
Clarke gave a modest shrug. "Anytime honey but I suggest we talk about what happened today."
"Yeah well.. I don't want to talk about it."
"You yelled at her in front of everyone, don't you think you were a bit harsh on her?" Clarke sipped on her tea.
"I admit I was harsh but she doesn't deserve better."
When those words left Raven's mouth, Clarke raised her eyebrows.
"What did she do to you to make you hate her so much?"
"I really don't want to talk about it Clarke and I would appreciate if you dropped it." Raven said as she walked into Clarke's bedroom.

"Have you already bought a present for Octavia's 18th?" Raven asked.
"Not yet." Clarke rubbed the back of her neck. "Have you?" Raven shook her head.
"I've been thinking so hard what to get her, but yet I couldn't find the perfect present for her." She groaned, causing Clarke to chuckle.
"She will love anything you buy her, I'm sure." She winked. "And if you're flashing her at night she'll love you even more."
After these words had left her mouth, a pillow hit her face once, twice, multiple times.

"Shut up.." Raven laughed.
"What? Haven't you done the dirty yet?"
Another few hits.
"CLARKE!"
"Okay okay.. easy tiger." Clarke grinned. "But is it a yes or no?"
Raven's cheeks turned bright red.
"No, not yet.."
"Jesus Christ you virgins are so damn cute!"
And so the pillow fight continued...

___________

Hey guys!!
This is my new book 'Little Did You Know' and I can't wait for you to read all of it.
I know I still have other books I should probably continue - I will, I promise. But right now I'm in a pretty dark place and all I want is to lose some negative energy and emotions I keep bottled up inside. However,  this story seemed to be the perfect opportunity to put all my emotions into.
I hope you liked this chapter and if you did, please leave a comment or vote to let me know what you think.
Don't worry, there will be Clexa.. give it some time.
Also sorry for any writing mistakes!
Love you <3
