What happened last chapter?
- Finn got drunk and found out Lexa sneaked outside
- he hurt and raped herClarke's POV
"Did you ace the audition?" Raven smirked.
"Kinda." I smiled back nervously, thinking about the portrait of Lexa I made.
"What did you draw to get in?" O asked.
"One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in all my life." I grinned to myself.I sat beside Raven and Octavia for a while and we talked for ages, the brunette never leaving my thoughts. Where was she? I was sure she said she would come over and unlike Raven and Octavia, I began to worry.
I couldn't believe she forgot about this special day of which she knew was important to me.
It simply didn't fit together. Lexa who was always an attentive listener would forget about coming over? That was just not possible.I turned to my friends who were cuddling and giggling together and somehow my good mood faded away as my longing for Lexa became stronger. I missed her as a friend of course!
"Raven?" I cleared my throat.
"Mhm?"
She could barely separate from Octavia's lips who was gently playing with a strand of her dark hair that had slipped out of her ponytail.
"Have you heard from Lexa?" I bit my lip, hoping she told Raven she was going to be unpunctual. "Is she being late?"Raven shrugged her shoulders.
"I didn't know she was coming over?"
I frowned. "Didn't she tell you?"
"The last time I've talked to her was yesterday noon before she went to yours. Did she say she would come over?"
I nodded, still frowning. Raven, on the other hand, let out a loud sigh.
"Look Clarke.. Lexa has the habit of promising things but not keeping them. How often had she promised my mother to come over but the doorbell never rang? How often did she promise she would call but she never did? That's Lexa." She sighed again. "I know it sucks-"
"No she promised me she'd be here and she said the truth!" I interrupted her.Raven raised one eyebrow.
"How would you know?"
"I just do." I saw it in her eyes..
Raven and O' shared a confused look as I got up from the couch and walked towards the door.
"What are you doing?" Raven called after me.
"I'm picking her up." I shouted back as I closed the door and walked into the late evening sun and through the little lanes to Sally's café.It was already closed, I could tell by looking through the glass into the dark building.
I stood directly in front of the café and looked straight up to an apartment which had its door around the corner. I knew it was constantly rented by travelers and would be the perfect place to stay for a short period of time.
My heart beat faster when I walked up the stairs to knock on the front door. From what I saw I could tell someone was at home because one room was clearly lit.Suddenly, the light went off. I knocked again but nothing happened.
"I know you're home Lexa!"
I was about to knock a third time when the wooden door opened and a tall guy placed himself in front of the door as if he badly wanted to keep me outside. He crossed his arms and scanned me from top to toe.
"Is Lexa home?"
"Who are you?" He ignored my question and continued staring at me. I couldn't help but feel a little bit challenged.
I cleared my throat.
"Do I look like I want to chat with you? I was asking where Lexa is." I snapped. He took a step forward and his face hardened."Who the hell are you?"
"Clarke." I hissed. "Satisfied?"
He didn't answer.
"Can I talk to Lexa now please?" I muttered, not very pleased I had to beg him.
"No."
"Why?" With a step forward I tried looking over his shoulder to sneak a peak inside. He immediately pushed me back and blocked my way."She's not here!" He hissed with a deathly glare. I didn't believe any word that came out of his stupid ass mouth so I bit my lip and collected my strength and ran against him, trying to fight my way inside.
While I tried pushing him aside I glanced over his shoulder. I was horrified by what I thought I saw.
Big dark stains on the floor, dark stains on the wall in shape of a hand and many more little stains everywhere. The moment I gulped in shock he was being able to push me back and shut the door with the words "I said she's not here!"
It was also the moment I lost my mind. I had no other idea than running back to Raven and O.
