And if you were with me tonight,
I'd sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big,
God wouldn't let it live.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.A strong smell of coffee filled Clarke's nostrils as she inhaled. She hadn't been in Sally's cafe in a long time. The last time she had a drink there was when Emma was still by her side. It was an odd experience for her to sit in the same place, with the same two coffees but without the quirky brunette next to her.
She missed her every day, every minute, every second of her entire life. If there had been just one opportunity to get lost into those hazel brown eyes once again, Clarke would have moved mountains to do so.
Despite herself, she wondered whether Emma was thinking the same right now. Was she watching her all the time? Had she protected her ever since god took back his angel?
Clarke could only guess."Is this seat taken? I've been stalking you for 10 minutes now and no one hasn't returned to their seat."
A shiver ran down Clarke's spine when she recognized the voice of an angel. Her eyes shot up to meet those forest green eyes and within seconds, ocean blue drowned in deep green.
"Oh ehr.. no the seat's not taken." She drew a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves.
The brunette sat down with a soft smile on her lips. Clarke thought she was dying from the feeling inside of her. It felt like a thousand butterflies just freshly slipped."Whose coffee is this?" She nodded towards the still steaming cup.
Clarke was caught off guard.
"Coffee? What.." her eyes grew wide. "Ohhh this coffee.."
Lexa raised both her eyebrows.
"It's a long story actually..but you can have it if you like?"
"I'd love to." She smiled and Clarke's butterflies just went crazy.
"I'd also like to hear your story."
"Maybe another time." Clarke quickly said when the image of Emma flashed her mind.
"It's none of those lovely stories and I rather not talk about it today."
Lexa nodded before she sipped on her coffee and Clarke couldn't help but stare when she slowly licked the foam from above her lips."I was wondering if we could talk about yesterday.." she started. The sound of her voice was enough to break Clarke's trance but still she couldn't stop looking at those lips every time Lexa took another sip.
"Sure." She said.
"I wanted to apologize for not opening the door and ignoring your efforts to cheer me up."
"It's alright."
"No Clarke, right?" The blonde nodded. "I'm truly sorry and totally embarrassed to interrupt your privacy today but I want to ask for your help in the matter." She bit her lip.
Clarke knew she should reply but instead she could just stare at those lips."Clarke?" Lexa snapped her fingers in front of her eyes.
"Yeah sure." Was all Clarke could manage to say.
"Perfect!" There was the brightest grin in the whole world again. "6 pm at the pier?"
"Sounds great." Clarke smiled.
"Good! See you then." Lexa's grin didn't fade when she got up and pulled out some notes.
"No, no." The blonde dismissively waved. "It's on me."
"Thank you." She smiled again before she left. Clarke sunk back into her seat and shook her head. She couldn't believe she had made a complete fool of herself.

The early evening sky was a breathtaking spectacle of colors as Clarke led Lexa to her favorite place at the pier. They sat down on a bench and enjoyed the stunning sea view before Clarke broke the silence.
"How can I help you?"
"I want to reconcile with my sister but she won't let me near her no matter how hard I try." For once, she seemed nervous. Clarke noticed her hands were shaking just before she hid them in her pockets.
"I will gladly help you Lexa.. but first I need to know what exactly happened between you too."
Lexa frowned.
"Will you tell me then for whom you originally bought the coffee?"
Clarke sighed. "Maybe." That was enough to catch a weak smile on lexa's lips."It's not a lovely story either." She whispered with a sarcastic chuckle.
"It started 4 years ago in high school, just before my mom and Raven moved here. My dad died from cancer and Raven and me had gone through a lot together. So far as I can tell, we've been of one mind and no one could ever separate us." Her eyes wandered from Clarke back to the sea.
