Lexa's long brown hair blew in the soft summer breeze as she waited for Clarke to show up. She watched her wristwatch carefully, counting the minutes Clarke had been too late and the minutes that were left for them to talk. After that she would have to return home.
"I'm so sorry."
Lexa nodded with a soft smile on her lips.
"Don't worry about it." She waved it off.
Clarke sat down next to her and took a deep breath of the fresh salty air.
"What are you doing tonight?" Clarke finally asked and Lexa's green eyes widened.
"I'm staying at home, why?" She chuckled nervously but not enough for Clarke to notice.
"My best friend and your future sister in law is having a little party for her 18th tonight and I asked her if I could bring you along." Lexa opened her mouth but didn't know what to say.
"Don't worry, she's okay with it." Clarke added.
"And is Raven?" She played with her curls.
"Kindaaa." Lexa noticed the way Clarke grinned like a cheeky monkey and she thought it was the cutest smile she had ever seen.
"It'll be fine." Clarke said.
Then again her boyfriend crossed her mind and the offer Clarke had just given her, seemed to be in danger.
"I'm not sure whether I'm free tonight. I promised Finn to stay at home while he's out with friends." She put on a fake smile but Clarke wasn't really satisfied with her answer.
"What do you mean by that?" She jerked one eyebrow. "So you have to stay at home while he's enjoying his night out with friends?" Lexa nodded.
"I'm not accepting a no, Lexa." Clarke crossed her arms. "Just sneak out when he's gone and I'll bring you home before he returns."
Lexa shook her head. Her hands were shaking and once again, she hid them in her pockets.
"I'm not sure, Clarke."
"Why not? You're just gone for a few hours and he won't notice. It's just for your own good to tag along, since you badly want to reconcile with your sister." She put on a begging look, making her eyes seem brighter and lighter than before. Lexa couldn't help but stare.
"Plus she's gonna be drunk which will make it a lot easier for you to talk to her."
"Alright." Lexa said, still insecure about her decision. "I trust you when you say you're taking me back before he returns home."
"Why is he so controlling?" Clarke whined and suddenly Lexa's skin started itching.
"We could just have a nice girls night.." she whined.
Lexa laughed nervously. "Yeah he's just a spoilsport."
Then again she took a look on her watch, realising it was almost 7. She froze.
"Oh damnit." She swore. "I have to go, pick me up at half past 10." She jumped off the bench "Im staying across Sally's café so just wait there for me to show up."
Then she hugged Clarke and jogged through the park. Before the blonde could even process what just happened, the brunette was already gone.
Weird, Clarke thought.

Clarke's POV
I didn't have to wait long for Lexa to show up. She actually seemed to be a very punctual person whose eyes never left her watch. Even when we were in the middle of a conversation, she would always manage to take a quick glance on her left arm to check the time.
When she turned the corner I felt an odd feeling inside my chest and I somehow got nervous the closer she got.
"Hey." She shyly said as I scanned her from top to toe. She wore simple black skinny jeans with black Vans and a matching white Vans T-shirt.
Even though she wore rather comfortable clothes than party outfits girls would usually wear to any birthday party, she looked stunningly beautiful. Her slight wavy hair fell perfectly and her forest green eyes sparkled in the weak light of the street lanterns.
"Finally someone who's not dressing up like any other girl attempting this party tonight." I chuckled.
"I don't really like dressing up for casual birthday parties. I don't see why people would dress up like wannabe celebrities just to impress some friends." She snorted.
"Damn. I like your attitude Reyes." She rose her eyebrows at her last name.
"Reyes?" She laughed. "That's new."
"Get used to it, I'll find many more nicknames for you the later it gets."
"Then I will do too." She laughed again.
This sound was music to my ears.
The walk didn't take long and just a few minutes later, we arrived at Octavia's house. We could already tell by the sight of her garden and through her windows, that many people decided to come tonight.
I turned to Lexa as we walked through her garden past some drunk idiots playing football with a beer bottle.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
"I don't think I'll ever be ready to face the unknown but here I am now in the middle of drunk bastards, considering the last party I attempted was my cousin's birthday party and that was 10 years ago."
She chuckled sarcastically but I could tell she was afraid to be rejected by Raven again. Still, her sarcasm brought a little smile to my lips.
"Just enjoy yourself." I patted her shoulder. "I will go find your sister and then you can tell her everything you'd like to say to her."
With that I pushed myself past drunk people and scanned every room for two brunettes choking on each other's tongues. In the one corner of O's living room, I saw Jasper resting his back against the wall, waiting for his turn at beer pong.
"Jas!!" I called but he didn't hear me. I sighed and tried pushing some idiotic guys out of my way.
When one smacked my ass, I turned around with an annoyed expression on my face. He was tall, blonde and not my type.
"Touch me again and you'll feel incredible pain." I hissed but he just put on a dirty smile.
"You want to be touched blondie, just admit it."
He winked and was about to grab my ass with both of his hands when I rammed my knee into his balls. He whimpered and pressed his hands on his hurting nuts.
"I told you so." I rolled my eyes in annoyance and walked to Jasper who just chugged his whole drink.
"CLARKEE." He put his arm around my shoulders and caused me to lose my balance and crash against some girl.
"Sorry." I muttered and looked back at Jasper who started to dance with me by pushing and pulling me on my arms.
"Jas." I sighed but he just shook his head. "Lets Party Clarke!" He cheered.
"Let me go please."
He made me turn around in a circle before I finally managed to free myself from his grip.
"You're a killjoy.." he staggered back and forth.
"You're drunk." I crossed my arms. "Have you seen O or Raven?"
He put his finger on his head with his cup still in his hand, spilling alcohol down his face.
"Nope." He scanned the room. "Not here."
I was so close to slapping him. There was nothing I hated more than drunk people fucking around with my nerves.
"Great I didn't know that." I mumbled. "Have you seen them anywhere else?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I think so."
"Where?" My patience fell below zero.
"They wanted to get more alcohol for beer pong just a few minutes ago. Think they went down into the basement." I nodded and promptly went downstairs into a weak lightened basement.
I could swear I heard unusual sounds coming from one of the rooms and when I tore open the door to the storeroom, I was shocked by the view of Octavia sitting on a cupboard with two bottles of Vodka in her hands and Raven between her legs. Both separated fast and looked at me with wide opened eyes before I slammed the door back in its lock.
I quickly ran upstairs and emptied a cup filled with punch. I badly wanted to forget what I just ran into.
Suddenly I was pulled inside the guest bathroom.
"Don't tell anyone!" Raven slurred.
"Or we'll have to kill you." O' finished her drink and made a face.
I just rolled my eyes.
"I was just about to forget what I saw and here you are reminding me of it again, thanks!" I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, I would never tell anyone, not that anyone cared though."
"True." O shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm so proud of you two." I then grinned and pulled Octavia into a tight hug. "Happy birthday non-virgin." I mocked her.
"Shut up." She slurred.
I turned to Raven who was picking up some random drink to finish. I slapped it out of her hand, giving her a warning look.
"First rule, don't drink fucking random drinks Rae." She snorted in return.
"What did you even want GriffGriff?"
"Asking you for a favor since you owe me one."
She clenched her first "Who am I gonna beat up?"
"No one."
She sighed. "Yeah it would have been too good to be true."
"Just shut up for a second." I pressed my palm against her mouth but quickly removed it and wiped it on her shirt when I remembered where her lips just used to be minutes ago.
"I brought someone." Octavia choke on her drink as I mentioned Lexa. I shot her an angry glare.
"Uhww. Someone I don't know about?" Raven hummed.
"I brought your sister." Her dirty smile faded.
"If you ignore it, it'll go away."
"No Raven. No one will be ignored tonight. You owe me a favor and the last thing you could do is talking to her-"
"But-"
"This wasn't a question." I hissed and grabbed her by her arm and pulled her outside. I scanned the garden for Lexa that I eventually found in the middle of Jasper and Monty. She didn't seem to be too sober anymore.
