"Mandrake, or Mandragora is used to return those who have been petrified to their original state." - Hermione Granger

-------------------------------------------------------

Ron was in a particular foul mood for the rest of the week. I think the spiders terrified him more than the monster in the castle. I was extremely grateful as the days seemed to pass with no more attacks. The mandrakes were maturing day by day, and soon, those who were petrified would return to normal. As the exams approached, I worried Hermione would not be able to catch up. I was more worried for Ron and Harry though. Harry's scar had started to hurt again, and mine occasionally throbbed as well. I had a very bad feeling, as the same events that happened last year began with a pain in my scar. Ron was missing Hermione a lot, even though he'd never admit it.

My days continued as usual, attending my lessons and returning to the common rooms early. One afternoon after class, as Harry and Ron went to visit Hermione, I went to the Great Hall with Luna. After dinner, Luna and I got ready to return to our common rooms. We walked down the corridors to the saircases when I heard it.

Let me rip, let me kill.

I immediately muffled a scream with my hands and dragged Luna over to a corner. Then there was another voice, a familiar, female one. I couldn't exactly distinguish who it was though.

Kill the mudbloods.

My eyes widened. It was the monster. I made a split second decision and dragged Luna behind a another corridor. I turned to Luna and whispered. "Luna, I don't feel so well. I don't know how to explain, but I have a bad feeling. Why don't you go to your common room? But remember to go the other way, alright?" She frowned and nodded.

"Sure Cindy. Stay safe." I smiled at her.

"I will. You too." I watched Luna walk off then I ran towards the other way to find Harry and Ron. Halfway back down the corridor, I saw the back of a girl with red hair. "Ginny?" I questioned. The girl stiffened. "Ginny!" I yelled.

Ginny turned and looked at me. "Cindy!" She exclaimed.

"Ginny! You need to go back to the common room. Now! I overheard the monster. I'm going to warn Ron and Harry."

"Why don't you come with me?"She suggested. It was then that I noticed her eyes were glazed over. She appeared to be in some sort of trance. I frowned.

"Ginny, whatever you need to tell me, can it please wait?" As soon as I finished, she began running in the opposite direction. My eyes widened as I raced after her. "Ginny! C'mon! Where're you going?" She did not answer, only continuing to run. I couldn't just leave Ginny alone with the monster on the loose. I had to bring her back to the common room safely.

It was then that I noticed Ginny was running to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. I raced in, hot on her heels. Upon entering, I saw Ginny standing in front of one of the bathroom sinks. "Ginny?" I called hesitantly. She did not answer me. She stared straight at the sink and hissed.

Open.

I gasped. It was the voice I had heard earlier. But it couldn't be Ginny, it just couldn't! The Chamber had been opened fifty years ago, before she was even born! Then I noticed the bathroom sink opening wide, the grates sliding open to create a big empty tunnel. Before I could even speak, Ginny jumped down the tunnel. "Ginny!" I couldn't waste anymore time going to Ron and Harry. Ginny could be in danger! But I had to leave a note or something... then I thought of an idea. "Flagrante." I made the flaming red lines spell out "Help" on the floor. Then I signed it, C.L.P. With that, I jumped in after Ginny.
