Chapter 25

(for now, these next few chapters are going to be all about certain ships ONLY)

Y/N's POV:

I was so befuddled about what happened. Why was Ink being chased by Error?

"Y-Y/N?" I heard Alphys call me name. "You said y-y-you have something t-to sh-show me?"

"Oh right. Give me a minute," I called back. I really wanted to show Alphys the x-ray. I wanted to see the monsters' bones... if they had any.

I was in Alphys' lab, a new room that I made for them. It was a big room with so far, 4 different labs for each AU. In original Alphys' lab, I was installing the big screen for the x-ray. For now, she'll have to make do with a big board that shows up the skeletons of people and monsters when they walk behind the board.

"I'm ready Alphys!" I called out, plugging in the last wire. She came in, looked at everything and started to try everything.

"Hold on Alphys," I told her. Slowly, I showed her all the controls and how the machine worked. She nodded, but I can see that she was still confused.

"Here, I'll give you a demo," I said as I walked near the board. "Click the switch and then the red button when I tell you I'm ready. Once the machine is ready, flip that lever." I stood behind the board. "Ready!"

I heard Alphys click the switch and then heard her pressing the red button. The machine started to warm up when I heard a knock.

"Who's there?" Alphys asked.

"Orange."

"Orange? O-orange who?"

"Orange you going to let me in?" the voice said before cracking up. I heard the door creak open and the same voice said, "Hey, Alphys."

"Sans," Alphys greeted, and I froze in fear. "Me and Y/N are j-just doing an e-experiment with a n-new equipment." I heard her flick the the lever and the machine blinked on.

"Ok, that's cool. So, what's the... GAH!" I heard a yell.

"Umm... Alphys?" I asked very meekly, hoping it isn't what I thought it was. "Is everything okay?"

There was a moment of awkward silence. "W-well... Sans is... acting a l-little st-strange..."

That did it. I immediately stepped away from the giant screen to find Sans laying on the floor, one hand on his head and the other tugging the neck of his jacket. His nose had a little trickle of blood running down.

"Sans!" I tried not to scream with worry. "Are you alright?"

"S-say something p-please!" Alphys added.

I... have sinned..." Sans moaned. Alphys and I looked at each other.

"What?" we said at the same time. While Alpys kept asking Sans if he was alright, I went to turn off the machine. As it powered down, I couldn't help but be grateful for the machine. At least it gave me some time from having me respond to his question about what happened in Outertale.

"Umm... Y/N, can you take Sans to his room?" Alphys asked me. "H-he doesn't look too well." I nodded.

"Sorry Alphys," I apologize. "I didn't know... was everything okay with the machine?"

"O-oh, yes! The machine was g-great!" Alphys stammered happily. "Can I keep it?"

"I made it just for you."

"Th-thanks!" As Alphys poured over her new machine, I grabbed Sans and helped him onto his feet.

"Come on, Sans. Don't be a lazybone and walk to your room," I ordered the dizzy skeleton. Slowly, he started to move his feet, which made the trip back to his room faster.
