Bilbo's POV
I managed to free the dwarves and we escaped down the river in empty barrels. We meet a bargeman that snuck us into Lake Town and then snuck us into his house throw the toilet. He gave us fresh clothes then things the dwarves could use as weapons. When he left to do something Thorin had us sneak into the armory to steal better weapons for them.
But we were caught and brought before the master of Lake Town. Who ended up throwing us party after making a deal with Thorin, who said he'd give them enough gold to rebuild Dale. The master gave us clothes, a boat and weapons then saw us off this morning.
Kili was left behind as he was injured and Oin stayed with him as he is the medic. Fili stayed because it's his brother and Bofur didn't reach the boat in time. So it is only ten of us in the boat as we rowed towards the mountain.
Gandalf wasn't at the overlook when we arrived and we left it. Because we were running out of time. We then started to climb the west side of the mountain towards the hidden door.
We reached the hidden door as the sun began to set and we heard something. "Quite all of you, listen" Dwalin tells us. We all stop and listen and hear a beautiful voice singing.
"Someone you can count on to comfort you
Always there
Like a green, green valley
You can come home to
Always there" they heard a lady singing somewhere in the mountain. Just then the moon shined onto the wall and revealed the key hole. Thorin inserted the key and turned it until there was a click. The door revealed itself and it opened. Thorin lead the way in and I notice the painting on the walls that told the tales of Erebor."What's that above the throne?" I ask pointing at it.
"That master burglar is why you're here" Thorin states. Balin the pulls me to the side where there's a set of stairs. He tells me want to look for and if there is a live dragon not to wake it. I then went down following his directions to the treasure hall.
(With the Dwarves) No one's POV
"Want are we going to do about the siren?" Dwalin asks Thorin.
"We'll free her and let her return to her people as Gandalf stated. She does not belong here" Thorin states. Then the mountain shakes and Ori asks if it was an earthquake.
"That was no earthquake, that was a dragon" Balin informs him. Just then fast foot steps were heard heading their way. 'Can't he give me a day of peace' they heard a girl grumble. Thorin gives Dwalin a nod and they hid in the shadows. A young woman appears and heads towards the stairs Bilbo went down when Dwalin grabbed her covering her mouth.
Erelil's POV
"Relax Lassie, we won't hurt you" an elder voice assures me and I calm down. "Dwalin release her" the voice tells the person holding me and they do so. I step away from the person and look around the room as dwarves appear from the shadows.
"No you can't be here, leave before he smells you" I tell them.
"Can't do that Lassie" the old voice says and I turn to the voice. I see an old dwarf with a white beard and hair. "Don't worry about us, the dragon will be killed and you can be free" he assures me.
"He can't be killed, only a black arrow can do that" I state. "Look I can buy you time while you escape" I tell them.
"We aren't leaving we came for something and we aren't leaving without it" a stern dwarf who looks to be a leader.
"The Arkenstone, he guards that more then anything else. He always said dwarves would return one day to try and take it back. Please go while you still can" I beg.
"We can free you lassie" the old dwarf tells me.
"If I leave and the dragon survives, he'll kill everyone in Lake Town. Then search for me and kill anyone who tries to stop him" I explain. "Also my name isn't Lassie, it's Erelil" I add.
"The lost elf princess" a young dwarf states smiling.
"Don't know about that, just know I've been a prisoner here for years" I tell him.
"One hundred and seventy-one years to be precise" the old dwarf tells me.
"It's been that long, my family probably think I'm dead" I say tearing up.
"That's not true they pray every day for your safe return" the old one assures me. "I'm Balin by the way and these are; Dwalin, Ori, Nori, Dori, Bombur, Bifur, Gloin, and Thorin" he introduces me to everyone.
"Thorin son of Thrain?" I ask and he nods his head. "Look I have to go calm Smaug down before he goes on a rampage. Please leave" I say as there was another tremor before running down the stairs. "Smaug what are you doing?" I ask as I enter the treasure hall.
"There is an intruder, go to your room Siren while I deal with it" he orders me. Bowing my head and I head to the east stairs to leave when something shiny catches my attention. I noticed it was the Arkenstone and look back at Smaug to see him not paying attention to me. I grab the stone and put in my cloak pocket before leaving the hall. Only I didn't know someone had seen me take the stone.
