"Cause you hot and your cold, yes and your no....." I sang along to the old Katy Perry Classic. Well it's classic to me and I really enjoy the song. Especially when I'm jamming out in my room with nobody around.

"Leah lower your music! And also get ready. We're having the Griers over for dinner" My mom shouts from downstairs.

Great, we can add that family to the humongous amount of families that have been over already for dinner.

I don't understand what my mom is fussing over about. Its not like we're going to talk to these people anytime soon after tonight. Or any time for the matter.

After jamming out some more to Katy Perrys single, I realize my mom never even mentioned what time they're coming over. I might go downstairs in my PJ to get some food and for all I know they can be there already. I walk to my door and open it, which allows me to make my way downstairs.

"Hey mum what time are the people coming over?" I ask her from the bottoms of the steps.

"In around 15 minutes. Are you ready yet?"

"No mom. Someone forgot to tell me the time" I say sarcastically hoping she'll catch on. If not, than she's not human because anybody who doesn't excel in the great sarcasm is not a human being. Just saying.

I walk back upstairs as fast as I can which is not very fast.

I'm not fast for anything. Except food. I like food. I'll gladly be fast for food.

Walking into my room, I choose a simple outfit from my closet. A pair of black jeans and a loose fitted white crop top. I wasn't joking when I said it was simple. I slip on a pair of red flats and throw my hair up in a messy bun.

"Leah come downstairs and introduce yourself" Jason, my annoying yet protective brother yelled. The protective part of him is usually the part of him where I want to hurt him cause it gets over whelming pretty freaking fast if I must say. He's older than me which is probably why he's like that.

I check myself once more in the mirror before grabbing my glasses and putting them on my face. My stomach rumbles in excitement as I smell the aroma of the food my mom made in the air. I run the rest of the way downstairs to see my brother at the bottom steps looking back up at me with his arms crossed.

"Well its about time" Jason teased.

"Shut up will You" I say louder than expected. Turning around biting my bottom lip, regretting my choice of words towards my brother. I see a bunch of pairs of eyes staring at me. I'm screwed.

"Well, this is my daughter Leah" mom said to fill the awkward silence.

The first thing I noticed was a boy. He sort of had the really unexplainable appearance. He looked upset to be here yet when I look at his eyes he looks like he's generally a nice person. Not sure what's up with him but maybe hell say something durning dinner for that's to change.

(So I'm doing major editing in this book and I've only done this chapter so far so if you read on you might be confused so I'm warning you. lmfao I sound serious which is weird. I'm never serious. Thanks for reading!
