I'm pretty sure it's his eyes are what pop out the most. They're like a blue but a bright blue. Almost like Blue from Blues clues just a bit lighter. Averting my eyes from that kid, I look down at my fingers playing with them and occasionally cracking them. I look back up to Jason who was across the room a few seconds ago making his way towards me. What did I do now?

Jason reaches me and leans down and begins whispering in my ear, "if you keep staring you're going to scare them and then this dinner won't end up smoothly. They'll be on edge."

"Sorry, not my fault people also like to stare at me too" I tell him annoyed by the fact he's blaming the little staring moment on me. The boy was the one who started .

"Leah, you've got to be kidding me right now. I don't want to do this and I'm sure as hell neither do you but this is mostly for mom so your going to have to deal with it." I nod my head looking away to find my mom. I find her chatting it up with who I believe is the mother of the three kids here.

"I know, I'll try....to be good. This is for her, you're right"

"When am I ever wrong"

"Don't push me Jason"

I turn back around and everybody has left the main entrance excluding me and Jason, and I believe went to the dinning room. What did my mom even make for dinner? All I know is that it smells delightful.

Jason walks ahead of me reaching the dinning room before me. I stop at the entrance and look around to see everybody smiling. Even the grumpy kid from earlier.

Well mom this is for you.

Nash P.O.V.

My mom's informed me earlier that the family has to attend a dinner at a new neighbors house down the street. I could honestly care less And anyway my mom told me at the worst time possible. I was in the middle of packing for Magcon Orlando. I don't have any spare time to put an act on and act like a perfect child for the new family. Id much rather just prepare for my early flight tomorrow.

"Dude mom is making me come get you so you might want to just fasten up your pace a bit" Hayes my younger brother said as he walked in my room

"Yeah, yeah tell her I'll be right down" I told him. He nodded his head and left my room going downstairs. And Just as I said, one minute later I find myself walking the stairs.

As my mom gathers us up she tells us some main rules oh how we have to behave and how not to disrespect the family. I could care less about what she's saying right now. I don't even want to be there, so why do I have to act like a perfect child.

My dad knocks on the door and a lady who looks like she's in her early thirties opens the door and greets us nicely. After we all introduce ourselves I notice a fairly buff boy near what looks like the entrance to the kitchen. I gulp nervously and look away from his scary posture. Considering he looks really intimidating , I prefer to just stay over here. He's walking over here. Why is he walking over here? I silently scream "Hayes" in my head.

"Hi I'm Jason." He brings out his hand for I handshake.

"Hi I'm Nash"

We continued a small short conversation amongst ourselves before he excuses himself and walks to the stairs and shouts up the stairs. I walk over to Hayes talking to him shortly before a Girl walks down stairs shouting at her brother. Well damn he couldn't of said something that bad could he? She looks up at me and stares directly into my eyes which cause me to feel like a science project being studied on a microscope.

Not the ideal feeling to have. She continues her chat with her brother? I'm going with my gut feeling and saying that's her brother. They do have similar features. Jason's mother directs us to the dining room showing us the seats and I take a seat next to Hayes leaving an extra seat beside me which has yet to be filled. It must be for the girl.

Leahs P.O.V.

I slowly enter the dining room and look around for an empty seat. I see an open seat but it's next the boy from earlier. Walking over there I smile warmly at the unfamiliar faces. As I take a seat Jason stares at me which I'm pretty sure means to introduce myself.

"Um hi... im Leah but you can call me L. It's your choice"

The first one that introduced them was the boy next to me.

"Hi I'm Nash".

Why did that name sound do familiar? I scrunch my eyebrows together but say nothing other than nod and smile. They all slowly introduce themselves, I repeat the same action I did towards Nash to all of them. Looking down at my plate I see a slice of lasagna and salad on the side. There was very minimal conversation going on but enough so it wasn't awkward.

Surprisingly the diner ended pretty quickly. Before I knew it the parents are all in the kitchen talking about who knows what. The parents instruct us all to go to the living room and chat. I sit on the floor so the little girl ,Skylnn, can sit down on the sofa. I don't know why but she decides to come sit next to me.

"Why are you by yourself" She asked with a smile. I laugh at her concerned voice before responding.

"I didn't want you to sit on the floor."

"Well, since we're both on the floor, want to play a game." She said eagerly.

"Sure what game?" I asked.

"Maybe Pony?" I laugh, I used to love playing that game when I was younger. Well my version of pony. Every kid has there own way to playing.

"Sure but one problem, I don't have a pony"

She giggled than said, "That's okay I have two" She waves them around so I can see.

We ended up playing pony for quite a while, no boy distraction at all. Sadly for me and Skylnn time passes by too fast and its time for them to leave.

"Bye guys" I said smiling and waving kinda sad. I was just having fun with Skylnn and she had to leave already.

Before I closed the door Nash came up to me and said "She really likes to play with you"

"And I like to play with her" I replied looking at Skylnn next to him.

"Nash, you coming" yelled Hayes. Nash nodded and quickly said bye.

My mom and Jason all wave goodbye to them before going back inside the house. I let my hair loose from my bun and slip on my flats and carry them them the rest if the way upstairs. Believe it or not I'm really tired. That's actually not surprising. I'm always tired.
