25. Lifes Moments

Ezra's POV
I slept in my office for a few nights now not wanting to go home. Not wanting to face the reality and hurt that Jackie had caused. I rang the baby stores  and canceled all my orders. I still couldn't believe Jackie had let me purchase all these items knowing that the child wasn't mine. I heard a knock at the door and quickly scooped up my blanket and pillow throwing them under the desk. Byron stepped in and closed the door.

"How have you been?" He asked. I guess I looked terrible.

"Yeah I'm ok. I just found out Jackie lied and the baby isn't mine" I said sadly taking a seat at my desk. He walked over but stayed standing.

"Oh... Does Aria know?" He asked with his eyebrows raised.

"No I don't think so we don't talk. How's she going? I asked.

"Very well. We visited on the weekend and watched her perform" he said smiling. "She asked about you" he added.

"Well I have some work to do, but say hello from me next time you see her" I replied feeling my hands start to shake. I hadn't eaten in days I thought.

"Yeah for sure. She has her first performance video on the Manhattan School for music webpage. She was amazing Ezra" he said before making his way out of the office. I pulled my laptop closer and loaded the webpage. I watched as she played the keyboard and sung so beautifully. The song she had written I could tell was directed at me so I listened to every word and knew that she was doing ok in New York, after all she was the strongest person I had ever met.

Arias POV
I woke up smiling at how amazing the weekend had been and seeing everyone again. But all of a sudden that wave of nausea hit me again. I jumped out of bed and grabbed the bin vomiting. I had nausea all week and thought it was just the nerves about having to perform.

"Someone's preggo" my room mate Krystal said rolling over in her bed to face me.

"No I can't be" I replied horrified.

"Well have you had sex in the last 3 months" she asked smiling.

"Well yeah with my ex before coming here. But I can't be" I said sitting back down on my bed.

"Only one way to find out. Let's get dressed and hit the pharmacy before school" she replied getting out of bed. I just nodded. How can this be happening? Ezra was having a baby with Jackie and I was in school. We grabbed a few different tests and made our way back into our dorm room. Krystal walked into the toilet to make sure it was clear. I quickly peed on the sticks and ran back into the room before anyone could see what I was carrying. We sat and waited.

"Hey no matter what the results lets go hang out at a bar tonight. Have a bit of fun. It will take your mind of things" she said trying to cheer me up. I looked over at the tests as both displayed a positive reading. Crap I thought.

"Sure the bar sounds like a great idea" I said as tears slid down my cheek.

"It's going to be ok" she said pulling me in for a hug. We quickly grabbed our bags and headed off to class.

We headed out for a quiet night, it was mid week so knew not many people would be out. We headed to a small bar while Krystal grabbed a glass of wine and I stuck to water. I knew I had to take care of this little human growing inside.

"So have you thought about what your going to do?" She asked.

"I'm thinking adoption will be best. I can't really support a baby and go to school" I said facing the harsh truth of reality.

"And what will the father say?" She asked sculling her wine.

"I'm not sure I will tell him. We're not really on good terms anymore" I said sadly. She stood up and made her way to the bar for another drink.

"Aria is that you?" I heard a male voice behind me and quickly spun around.

"Riley!" I yelled jumping up and wrapping my arms around him. After a minute he pulled back.

"What are you doing in New York?" He asked smiling.

"I go to a school in Manhattan now" I replied taking a seat and offering for him to sit down which he accepted.

"I can't believe your here. We will have to catch up some time" he said smiling.

"Sure" I paused for a long moment before continuing "Riley you left at the dance and i haven't been able to contact you since" I said sadly.

"I'm sorry Aria. I'm such an idiot. I let jealousy get the better of me. I kind of started liking you even though I knew we could only be friends." he said smiling.

"Can we still be friends?" I asked.

"Yeah that would be great. I have to go my girlfriends waiting. I'll call you" he replied before kissing me on the cheek and walking back across the bar to a beautiful long legged blonde. We didn't stay much longer, I decided to call it a night while Krystal went over to her boyfriends place. I laid in bed rubbing my belly feeling a rush of love already creeping over me for this little human. How was I ever going to give he or she up?
