28. White Light

Two days later
Arias POV
I felt a bright light piercing into my eyelids. I slowly opened my eyes and let them adjust to the room. I could hear someone speaking, it sounded like Ezra's voice. I looked around the empty cold white room. Where the hell was I. I felt down to my stomach which now lay flat. I jumped out of bed and ran to the door and looked through the glass where the piercing white light shone through. I shielded my eyes and tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. I started to scream out but no one could hear me. I had never been so scared in my life and all I wanted was my baby back. I looked down and noticed my chest bleeding through my white shirt and all the painful memories came back to me how Jackie stood before me and shot me. Was I dead?

I heard Ezra's voice again and listened carefully. 'Aria I love you please come back to me' I could hear machines and a very long beep. I sat and cried. I closed my eyes and longed to be back and to tell Ezra how much I equally loved him and to tell him about our baby. I felt a massive hit in my chest and awoke to find doctors crowded around me holding chest paddles and pushing things through my iv.

"Welcome back. We almost lost you there" the doctor said smiling. He checked me over quickly and left. While the nurses rolled up the cords and wheeled the crash cart from my room. My parents and Mike soon came rushing in hugging and kissing.

"We thought we had lost you" mom said laughing through tears.

"Is Ezra here?" I croaked barely able to talk. They left the room and sent him in. He came walking through the door slowly with tears smeared in his eyes and red cheeks. I patted to the bed beside me as he took a seat. "I love you" I managed to whisper.

"Oh Aria I love you too, I'm so sorry this happened." He replied. I reached down and felt for my round tummy finding my baby missing.

"Where the hells our baby?" I said starting to cry and fear the worst.

"Hey, hey she's ok. She's perfect actually" he replied wiping my tears. "You said our baby?" He asked.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you....we have a little girl?" I said smiling.

"Yeah she has your dark hair and my blue eyes" he replied pulling out his phone and showing me a picture.

"Aw she is perfect" I said as tears clouded my eyes.

"You rest and I'll get the nurses to bring her in to meet you when you wake" he said smiling and kissing my forehead.

"Will you stay?" I asked. He laid down and wrapped his arms around me the best he could with the Iv and wires. I leant forward bearing through the pain and kissed his lips before dozing off.

Ezra's POV
I had never been so happy to see Aria awake and talking and especially hear those 3 little words that meant the world to me. I let Aria rest for a few hours before the nurse bought in the baby. She had now been transferred to a normal plastic hospital crib. I picked her up and stared into her blue eyes she was the most beautiful little girl I had ever seen. I sat beside Aria.

"Hello mommy I've come to meet you" I said in a baby voice as Aria opened her eyes. She slowly sat up and smiled while staring at our baby girl. She leant in and rubbed her little hand.

"Oh Ezra she is so perfect" she said staring into my eyes I leant in and planted a kiss on her lips.

"So does she have a name?" I asked wanting to know what to call our little angel.

"Do you have anything in mind?" She asked playing with our daughters hair.

"I've never really thought about it" I replied laughing. "But I've always liked the classics."

"How about Elizabeth? It ties in my moms name Ella and also makes me think of Ali. Maybe Elizabeth Diane Fitz after your mom too" she said staring into my eyes waiting for a reaction.

"That's perfect! She looks like an Elizabeth. Elli for short" I said smiling. "Welcome to the world Elli" I said planting a kiss on her cheek. I stood up and placed the baby in her right arm and propped it up with pillows. Ella, Byron and Arias friends all came in the room and all smiled at Aria holding her little girl for the first time.

"She has a name" Aria told everyone in the room. "Elizabeth Diane Fitz. Elli for short"
They all smiled and said how much it suited her.

I made my way home to have a shower and something to eat while Aria and Elli rested. I had put a through job applications through in New York so Aria could still attend school and I was there to support them both 100%. I also had to meet with Nicole over coffee and break up because I felt like all this was unfair on her.

Arias POV
I woke up to find Ezra snoring quietly beside me. I sat up and gave his lips a slow long kiss waking him immediately.

"Good morning" I said smiling and kissing his lips again. "We really need to talk about living arrangements when I get out of here in a few days" I said knowing the conversation needed to be had.

"Yeah about that. Your parents told me your plan how you still want to go to school there. So I've applied for some jobs in New York and want it so badly for us to find a apartment and move in together to raise Elli" he said smiling weakly.

"That sounds wonderful. I have all the baby furniture and clothes at Rileys an he has said he's fine with us both staying there until we get our own place" I said feeling like everything was coming together.

"Now I just need a job" he replied a little upset.

"Ezra I have enough money to purchase a house and look after all of us for a while from my song writing....please move with me straight away? I need you there and so does Elli" I asked cupping his face in my hands.

"Ok I'll take some time off from Hollis and come help you until I find job" he said smiling as I pulled his face to mine and kissed his lips hard. I had the love of my life back, a beautiful baby girl and nothing was stopping us now.
