Meanwhile on earth
Master Orish was in the middle of a council meeting when a guest appearance drew his attention elsewhere. He couldn't believe his eyes when the man who many feared just walked into the warden temple, alone, like a raven, hoarse, across a field of life. Every warden that was passed by him, young or old, was on guard, weapons ready to fight. He waited for Orish in the next room while he spoke with Jessica. A pane of glass being the only defence for Orish. Orish didn't feel fear for himself, he was scared for the others in the temple who would die if a fight happened. He spoke with Jessica as he told her to get back to earth as soon as possible and that someone wanted to see her. When Charlotte asked who, Orish looked up, knowing that if the crew of the ascension knew who it was before hand, then someone would try to kill him. So he dodged the question. Eventually he hung up and glanced through the window before entering the room, starring straight at the philosopher's son, Lord Draxx. They hadn't spoke yet so and Orish wasn't interested in speaking so Draxx was the one to use pleasantries.
"Master Orish" Draxx said with elegance "it's been a while since we last met, old friend""A long time since we last spoke" Orish sat down across from Draxx
"So you're the temple master now? That's quite the achievement, well done"
"Thank you, I wish I could congratulate you, but leading the serpentine isn't an achievement to be proud of" Orish retorted
"That's where you're wrong, the serpentine are powerful, and I control them, not with force, but diplomacy" Draxx corrected "the achievement is that I proved that the serpentine aren't just warmongering killers"
Orish didn't answer. He, for the first time ever, didn't know what to say. Draxx genuinely believes that the serpentine are trustworthy. Orish no longer saw the man he once knew, instead he sees the man who must die so that the galaxy can finally have peace. But why was he here? Is the question Orish asks himself. Draxx was no fool, so he wouldn't have come here unless he knew what he was doing. Finally, Orishs asks him.
"What are doing here?""Can I not simply come to earth to see how the wardens are nowadays?" Draxx answered
"Last time you came to earth, you destroyed the council hall and stole an arkkon piece"
"Nobody's perfect" Draxx shrugged
"Answer me!" Orish snapped "why are you here?"
"I will discuss that when Jessica Starillian is here" he said vaguely
"Fine, be that way" Orish stood up and walked towards the door "don't leave this room"
"Or what?" Draxx said, awaiting a response "you'll kill me, you and I both know only one person can do that"
Orish ignored him and left, Draxx was stubborn when he wanted to be. Orish only hoped that Jessica got here soon, before Draxx grew tired of waiting...
