Charlotte's PoV
As we walked through the warden temple, I was keeping my eye on Draxx the whole time. I can't believe that he just came out of nowhere, asks for our help and worst part, we didn't really have a choice on the matter. Even if Draxx was telling the truth about this Ivy woman, he would've had a plan in order incase something like this happened. What was he planning? Was he going to use us to kill this Ivy and then dispose of us? Killing all his rivals at once? Maybe, but he'd have to have time to plan such a move. We'll make sure that he doesn't have a chance to cause even a slither of trouble. While I hated the very sight of him, there was a small part of me that wanted to ask him questions, questions about his life, before and after the war, the ones, the divines, Ragragnoc, all the questions I've wanted to have the answers for. I think what Jasmine calls my "geek side" was showing. But I still wanted to ask so many questions, but he would never just speak to me, he's got far more important things to do, like helping us with this whole situation we're in.
"The temple seems just like it did so long ago..." Draxx broke my train of thought "...grand and golden""The temple aims to keep itself looking exactly as it did during the Great War" Vaxeneir commented
"Ah, so you finally speak to me?" Draxx remarked
"I am not able to feel a grudge against you, so yes" he answered "but I will not engage unnecessary conversation"
"Honest as always" he said before going silent
As we continued along through the temple, I saw many wardens of many races, looking, glaring at Draxx, some were whispering, probably about why the patriarch of the kyzor was in the warden temple, being escorted by the order. But it was one conversation that I overheard while we waited for the elevator down to the hanger. Two wardens, a Cashoor and a Vorg, near us were talking, about why there were so many wardens on earth.
"Hey, Dowlmar, do you know why there's loads of wardens on earth? and not...ya know fighting in the war?" The Cashoor asked"Because, there's a creature..." The Vorg called Dowlmar answered "...more cruel than a kyzor and stronger than a warden with Starillian, killing all the wardens it can find in the Ophiro sector, most wardens have been ordered to return to Earth in order to prepare for whatever this man beast is"
Man beast? There was something in the Ophiro sector killing wardens? We would have to investigate at some point about that, I mean it's obviously a sapient thinking person, just a violent, arrogant person. No common animal could traverse an entire sector in the galaxy on its own. I think Draxx heard them, because I heard him speak quietly to himself, barely managing to hear what he said.
"So...he does live" was all I heardWhat did Draxx know? And more importantly, who was killing wardens?
