Chapter 18

Jessica's PoV
Jynx had been gone for awhile now. I was starting to think she had forgotten about us. She said she needed to reward me with something. Unless it's the key to this cell, I don't think any reward will help us. Then Jaymos, Jasmine and Sharmia began questioning me.
"Jess, are you sure you wanna trust this girl?" Jasmine asked

"Yeah, why not?" I asked in return

"Because that bitch is bat-shit crazy" Jaymos said

"Okay, maybe she's a little...troubled"

"Troubled? You saw her smashing her head against a wall, right?" Sharmia said

"And she talks about herself in the third person" Jasmine added

"She just needs a little care for once in her life, trust me, she can help us"

Before we said anymore. We heard footsteps, we turned and saw Jynx with her hands behind her back. She looked kinda cute like that, not cute in that way but more like the way you would describe a young child.
"Jynx has your gift" she said

"You really didn't have to..."

I stopped when she pulled her hands around to reveal an orange arkkon piece. The piece pulsed with great power and I could clearly see that the piece was draining Jynx's life energy, but she didn't care.
"An arkkon piece!" Jasmine's mouth was hanging open

"Here, it's shiny, just like your eyes" Jynx said

"Thanks?" I took the piece

I took the piece and when it made contact with my hand, I saw a vision. It felt exactly the same as when Vaxenier gave me the blue arkkon piece on Arkkous. Only this time I saw a planet, a planet completely shadowed in darkness. I heard voices screaming at me 'Starillian! Starillian! Head for Mü!' I looked and saw three humanoid creatures; the first had the head of a normal woman, the second had the head of a snake and the third had a combination of the first two's heads. They were preying in front of a tall man, it was at this point I heard 'hail, Lord Crotus!' Being chanted over and over again. It was then finally that I saw Draxx walk towards me while he said 'come forth, blood of Elizabeth, come forth to your demise'.

I then looked and saw that I was still holding the orb, but I was back in the cell block. I saw Jasmine, Jaymos and Sharmia looking at me funny, and then I realised they weren't looking at me. The cell bars were eroded away, completely melted away. The molten metal dripped on the floor and Jynx had taken a few steps back, not really that phased by the phenomenon that had just occurred in front of her.
"Uhh...what happened?" I looked at the molten bars in front of me

"Well, you grabbed the arkkon piece and your eyes starting glowing bright orange" Jasmine explained "and then you held your hand out and the cell bars started melting, pretty scary shit"

"Yeah, player, you were like some fucking master of the arcane" Jaymos added "you feeling alright?"

I then looked at the arkkon piece and said "yeah, I'm fine...lets get out of here"

We then left the cell and Jaymos, Jasmine and Sharmia ran off. I was going to but I saw Jynx sit back on the table opposite our cell. She couldn't stay, Reaver would kill her if he found out what she did.
"Jynx, aren't you coming?" I asked

"No, your friends don't like Jynx, they know what she is, just like the voices" she answered

"What do you mean...the voices?"

"They say mean but truthful things to Jynx, they tell her she's useless, unloved and worthless...the voices are right, and so are your friends"

"No, your not worthless, come with us and I'll prove it to you"

"How will you prove that to Jynx?"

"I'll help you get rid of the voices" I told her

She smiled and said "okay, Jynx will go with you"

She got up and quickly asked "can Jynx know your name?"

"It's Jessica...Jessica Starillian"

We then ran and caught up with the others as we ran. We were ready to leave, so I really hope Charlotte's group has come across Ulag...
