It had been three days since Link left the mirror chamber. Soon after Zelda had left, he had called Epona and he rode through the dessert for hours. He did not have a set destination, he was too busy thinking about the mirror to focus on what he should do now.

Epona was getting tired, and so was he. He realized that he needed to find a place to stay. He thought about places he would be welcome, and the thought of his own village flashed through his mind. Ordan. He thought back to the day at the spring, when Ilia was washing Epona. That was the day.... He shook his head. The last thing he wanted to think about was the day that started all the pain. He then considered all the villagers, expecting him to return at any moment. He figures that the right thing to do is to return home. There, he can figure out what he will do from that point forward.

As he and Epona slowly traveled through the fields, he remembered the time when he had his future all planned, and right ahead of him. He was expected to become the mayor of Ordan, after Bo, the current one, steps down. After all he has been through, his future plan didn't sound as exciting as it did before he found out he was the chosen hero.

His mind then thought of Ilia. Before the incident, he had been very close with her. They had grown up together, and she was his best friend in the village. He could always tell that she loved him, through her words, and actions. She always comforted him, and washed Epona for him. Before that day, he thought he was starting to feel something towards her as well. Whenever he was around her, a nice warm feeling spread through his body. Now that he thought of it, it didn't seem the same as it used to.

He looked up from his thoughts when he saw he had entered the Faron providence. He rode past the lantern shop, and the spirit spring. He remembered the first time he came here. It was when Talo borrowed his sword and chased a monkey into the woods. It seemed that everywhere he went, he remembered a part of his journey. Some places were painful to look at, and others brought back traces of the days in which he was happy.

Soon enough, he crossed the bridge and entered the place where he once called home. As he passed by the spirit spring, he paused a moment. He looked into the waters and remember that this is where it all started. After the children were taken, he ran across the bridge to find them. That is where he first transformed into a beast. That is where he first met... He went still. He thought about how it seemed like such a long time ago that he met Midna. It's funny how some people you just meet, vanish before your eyes. "I...I'll see you later." Her last words played over and over again in her voice. He looked at the water once more as his eyes begin to fill themselves with liquid.

"Link?!" Link snapped out of the trance he was in, and looked over to see Ilia, standing in the middle of the path leading to the village.

"Link!" She yelled while running towards him and Epona.

"Hello Ilia." Link said, sounding a little more sad than he had planned. He jumped down from his horse and accepts the hug that she threw upon him.

"Where have you been? We expected you to return days ago." Ilia said, while she released Link from her hug.

"Oh, Well, there were a few extra things I needed to do..." He thought back to the mirror chamber momentarily, and the countless days he spent wandering, feeling lost.

"Well, at least you are home. Cmon! You have to talk to the other villagers, they have been awaiting your return just as much as I have!"
Ilia grabbed his hand. Instead of the warm happy feeling he normally got,  he felt nothing but lost, and depressed.

Ilia led him towards the village. Link thought about how different he feels with Ilia. Will I feel the same about everyone else? No one here, not even Ilia, understands the pain I have been through on this journey. I have no one I can talk about it to...
