I was at home getting ready for the camp out I got dressed in some dark black Pink sweat and a thrasher shirt and a sweater just incase I get cold. I brought clothes for tomorrow and that consist of some ripped high waisted  light jeans with a red crop top and the same shoes I also brought a pillow and a blanket bc I don't have a sleeping bag and I was gonna ask one of the boys to let me borrow one. I heard a knock on the door. Oh shit benny must be here. I grabbed my stuff and went downstairs. My mom and I weren't on good terms so I didn't bother to ask. Before I opened the door Brian came out. "Where do you think you're going".
"I'm going to a camp out with my friends and if you don't mind benny is waiting for me" I said.
"Do you and Benny have a thing yet" he ask.
"Brian I don't have time for this, I have to go" I said and was about to open the door
"Im going with you" he said
"What no" I said.
"I'm not gonna let my baby sister alone with 9 immature boys" he said.
"Uhhh fine hury" I said.
"Okay brb" he said and ran up. After he left I finally opened the door.
"Hey sorry that took awhile" I said.
"It's fine, you ready to go" he said.
"Oh no, is it okay if my brother goes he won't let me go unless he comes" I said.
"Yeah I mean I don't think they would mind, they actually like Brian" he said smiling. 
"Okay then" them Brian came running down with his stuff
"Alright let's go guys" he said and closed the door. I chuckled.
We walked there and talked about baseball. Benny and my brother seemed to get along very well. After awhile we arrived at the sandlot and went through a gate there. "We're here" Benny said.
We went up the stairs and I saw all the boys sittings down talking and eating. Smores. "Hey guys"I said getting their attention.
I got back some hey,hi's.
I spotted Kenny and sat down next to him. "Hey Julie" he said smiling. I nodded my head. "Where's you sleeping bag?" He asked. "Ahh I don't have one" I said. "You can sleep with me if you want, my sleeping bag is pretty big" he said.
"Oh yeah sure, thanks!" I said happy since I won't sleep in the hard floor. It was 8:30. So far it was fun. Me and Benny were closer than ever. Like I mean touching. We were sitting down waiting for squints to tell the story and Benny brought me close to him, our legs were tangled together. His hand wrapped around me. I was pretty sure I was blushing. Squints started off the story. I didn't believe anything. But the boys seemed to believe it including Brian. Dummy's. "You see Julie, that's why you can't go over there" Kenny said. "Oh yeah definitely, cause I totally believe this story" I said sarcastically rolling my eyes playfully. "Oh yeah, stick your head out that window" squints said pointing at the window.
"Alright" I said. I crouched over to look. "There nothi- Oh shit" I said jumping back. I landed in Brian. I then stood up. "Alright it might be true" I said. Wow that gorilla dog thing was scary. I think I should go home. Julie stop being a baby! I said to myself. "Let's take our minds if this, and let's play a game" yeah-yeah said smirking.
I laughed. "Let's play truth or dare" squints said.
We all agreed.
After many weird truth and dares.
"I'm gonna use the restroom, I'll be back" I said getting up. "Alright hurry up" I heard one of them say. But before I left I was outside the door and stayed there. "Benny truth or dare" I heard one of the boys say.
"Truth"
"You like my sister"
I felt me cheeks heat up.
"Nahh man I don't have time for girls"
My heart broke.
"Not even Julie, I mean she plays baseball to"
"Nah man I don't like her" he said sternly.
I felt like crying, he made me believe he does, he always sending me mixed emotions. I was sad, mad I didn't know how to feel but it hurt. I ran to the restroom. I was greeted by Timmy and tommys mom. I found out I was on my period and asked their mom if I can have a pad. It was embarrassing but I don't care. After that I made my way back to the tree house. Hesitating to go in. After like 5 minutes I walked in. I was pissed off. "Wow you're finally back" Kenny said laughing. " I was talking to their mom" I said pointing at Timmy and Tommy and rolled my eyes.
By then they were playing smash or pass. I didn't feel like playing so I was just in my phone. I knew Brian knew something was wrong with me. I was still really mad. I wanted to cry. I was just not feeling it. All of a sudden my phone started ringing. It was loud so they all looked at me. I just rolled my eyes and picked up my phone to see who was calling me. I froze. It was Ponyboy. The call ended awhile later. I called back. What was wrong with me. While it was dialing I got up and was about to walk out. "Were ya going" Brian asked.
"I'm talking on the phone" I said in a duhh tone. "Who is it" he said. "Don't worry about it" I said and walked out. I heard "ooos" from the boys. I was on the balcony of the tree house. He finally answered. "Hey Julie" he said sounding nervous. "What do you want" I said in a bored voice. "Julie look I'm sorry for what I did to you, I was hurt that you left me and I didn't know how to react I was just thinking about my self and not you I'm sorry and I love you, I was a dumbass for going to cherry, I realized and left her I still have strong feelings towards you, no one can make me feel the way you did, you were my first everything and I would do anything to gain your trust and love again, I love you" I was in tears by now. "Pony, I still love you to" I said. Tears falling down my cheeks. "I wish you were here with me" I whispered.
"Me to, I love you Julie" he said.
"That reminds me, I'm gonna go and visit Tulsa in about 2 days" I said.
"You serious" he said, I can hear the excitement in his voice.
"Yes" I said chuckling.
That's when Benny came out. I looked at him and felt hurt.
"Well if it's possible can I take you out on a date when you're over here" he said. I smiled.
"Ofcourse I would love to" I said smiling.
Benny came and stood next to me. Sadness then filled me.
"Ay I'll talk to you later"I said.
"Why, uh okay love you" he said.
"Love you to" I said and hung up quickly. Benny doesn't like me so I have to move on and plus I never lost feelings for pony. I miss him so much.
I turned to benny. He looked confused.
Oh no here comes the mixed emotions he sends me. He then looked mad. He was facing the other direction his jaw was clenched. Wow his jawline. He then looked at me
"Who was that and why are you saying I love you to him" he said and sounded mad.
"Why would you care" I said and gave him a bored expression.
"I uh- I mean your my best friend I was just wondering" he said.
"Well if want to know so badly it was Ponyboy" I said.
"Oh" he said. And rolled his eyes.
"Well I'm going back inside" I said and pushed passed him
"Julie wait".
I turned around.
"Why are you acting different, everything was fine until you came back from the restroom" he said sounding concerned.
"I'm fine, don't worry about it" I said and was about to walk away but he grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him.
"I know something's up, just tell me" he said holding both my hands.
"It's a girl thing" I said. He looked confused.
"I'm on my period" I said. He then realized
"Ohh, so your having those cramp thingys" he said. I laughed.
"Yes Benny I am" I said laughing.
"Do you need anything" he said.
"No I'm fine" I said laughing at how concern he was.
"We should go back inside" I said.
"Wait one more thing...actually 2" he said.
"Okay ask away" I said. He chuckled
"So you said your were gonna sleep with Kenny, don't-"
I cut him off. "Why" I said laughing.
"I'm your best friend, cmon sleep with me" after he said that I burst out laughing
"Not to make it sound wrong but cmon" he said smiling.
"Of course I will" I said.
"The next thing, uh you actually gonna go on the date with pony, I mean he did hurt you, I don't want you to get hurt and other stuff" he said quietly at the end. I hugged him. "If you don't want me to go on a date with him, I won't" I said looking at him grabbing his hands.
He sighed. "I really don't want you getting hurt Julie,but it's up to you" he said.
"Don't worry benny I won't" I said and hugged him again. He hugged me back. I swear he gives the best hugs ever. All of sudden we heard whispers in the back. I turned around. "And he says he doesn't like her" squints says. I looked at Benny and decided to act like I didn't hear anything earlier. "Huh" I said.
"Oh uh nothing, don't worry about it" he says sounding nervous. I swear I saw his cheeks turn a slight shade of pink. I chuckle and walked inside. It was 10:30 and some of the boys were passed out. The only ones awake were me, Benny, and squints. But later on squints knocked out. It was just me and Benny. We talked about random stuff. I couldn't help notice how every time he talked about baseball his eyes shined. After awhile it was 12 and I was getting tired. I completely forgot about sleeping with benny and walked towards DeNunez. But as I got up benny pulled me back from my waist and sat me on his lap. I think I was like a tomato. "Where do you think you're going" he says wrapping his arms around my waist.
"What do you mean, with Kenny" I said chuckling.
"No no no, you said you will sleep with me" he said keeping a straight face. I laughed to hard.
"Oh yeah I forgot" I said in between laughs. He just smiled. Oh that smile that gets me ever time.
"Cmon then" I said and crawled in the bag patting the spot next to me. He smiled and crawled inside with me. I turned to face him. "Goodnight Benny boy" I said.
"Goodnight Julie girl" he said. I laughed quietly so that I wouldn't wake up the rest.
"You're so weird" I said.
"But you love me huh" he said lifting my chin up.
"Yeah totally" I said sarcastically. He gasped pretending to be hurt.
"Oh shut up you know I love you" I said hugging him. "I love you to bro" I froze. Bro he just broed me. Like if I'm one of his dudes.
I just looked at him. I decided to not say anything so he won't suspect nothing even tho it's obvious.
"Goodnight for real this time" I said and turned around. "Goodnight"he said. He then wrapped his hands around my waist my heart skipped a beat and I felt the heat rise upon my cheeks. I laced one of his hands with mine. Wow this is great. And I soon went to sleep.
Sorry for taking forever to upload. I've been busy reading other books. I recommend reading "Chasing Red" on wattpad. It great.
