A/n Hey guys I'm so glad to get positive feedback on my story. I just want to let you guys know that the first few chapter would be short, maybe like 700-900 words. When the story livens up the chapters will get longer. Hope you enjoy.
Evan's Pov:
I just lied there on my bed pondering about my room mate. I have literally just met him and I've already made a fool of myself. I sat up in my bed and stared at the wall. My attention was directed to my phone when I see the screen light up signifying that I had gotten a message. I roll over in my bed so I could reach my phone that was currently on the night stand.
Alana: Hey, I was wondering if you guys wanted to go out somewhere later on. Maybe in like 2 hours
Zoe: So, at 7
Alana: Yea, same thing
Alana: I just thought it would be a good time to go because we just got here and before the classes started
Zoe: I'm down for it. How 'bout you Evan? Jared?
Evan: Sure I'll come.
Jared: Ok
Zoe: Why so quiet Jared?
Alana: ^^^^^ You're usually so talkative
Jared: I'm talking with my room mate. I gtg guy bye.
"Ugh Jared is so lucky." I thought. He's already made friends with his room mate. What is the chance that Connor would want to be my friend after making a complete fool out of myself half an hour ago. I clear my thoughts and bring my attention back to my phone.
Evan: Bye
Alana: Perfect, see you guys in 2 hours
Zoe: Hey, Alana is it ok if I bring my brother. He doesn't have many friends. (A/n I know this isn't like Zoe but, I have a plan and I needed to put this for it to work so, whatever.)
Alana: You have a brother?!
Evan: ^^^^
Zoe: Ya, I don't talk about him about much because 1. we are not close and 2. He is soooooo annoying.
Alana: um... ok. But sure you can bring him
Zoe: Great see you soon.
Evan: Why did you have to text Alana to ask if you could bring your brother? Don't you guys share a room?
Alana: 'Cause I'm in the library right now.
Evan: oh ok... well see you soon.
Alana: I'll text you the details soon
Zoe: ok...Bye
I put my phone back down on the night stand and flop back down on my bed staring up at the ceiling wondering what to do. I still had 2 hours to kill before I had to meet my friends. The only thing that I could think of was to unpack all of my things.
I open up my duffel bag with some of clothes and see a piece of paper sitting on the top. I bend down and pick it up. I flip it over and see writing on that looks like my mom's. It said:
Hi honey,
I just wanted to wish you good luck with college and that I'm super proud of you.
"Oh, good" I mumble and go back to reading
Remember to to try to have an optimistic out look. I hope you have a great time there with your friends.

I put the note in my night stand drawer and go back to unpacking my stuff

Zoe's Pov:
I was waiting with Alana on a park bench in a park near our college. It was an open field that was framed with trees. Alana and I were sitting and chatting and shooting the breeze like buddies do. I see a car pull up. I immediately notice it's Connor's. I was kinda wishing he wouldn't show up but, he's here so, can't do anything about now. He get's out and I see him walk over to us. He sits down next to us and just starts using his phone.
"Hi Connor" I say with a suggesting tone
"Oh yea, hi" He says without looking up at me
I just roll my eyes and whisper to Alana
"This is why I don't do anything with him"
She chuckles and we go back to our conversation. Not even 5 minutes into our conversation I see another car pull in and Evan and Jared pop out. They make their way over to us.
When they get to us they both greet us. After Evan said hi I see Connor look up. Evan looks over and they make eye contact for a few seconds and turn away awkwardly. "Somethings going on" I thought to me self.
"Um...Zoe what's my room mate doing here" Evan whispers to me
"Oh that's what's up... nothing else. Right?" I think
"Oh, I told you guys I invited my brother" I respond
"Oh, Yea but I didn't know your brother was Connor." Evan says
Connor looks up at his name but when Evan meets his eye he looks back down. I have a feeling something is going on but I don't know what
Evan and Jared sit down and I continue talking with Alana while Jared are Connor are on their phones. Evan just sat their taking in the view. Evan wasn't talking to anyone but, he didn't seem to mind.

Connor's Pov
We were sitting the park for about an hour when the kid, I think his name was Jared, said he had to leave because his room mate needed him or something. Looks like he's close with his room mate, from the looks of it looks like Evan and I wont be that way. After about 20 minutes I get up to leave. I say good bye and start walking to my car when I see Evan run up next to me.
"Hey... um...um...um...I... was...um...wondering if...um" He stutters out
"Yes" I say bluntly looking straight ahead.
"I was wondering if I could catch a ride with you back to the college" He finally says
"What about your car" I say
"I...um...well don't have one" He says while looking down at his feet.
"yea, sure , whatever" I respond
"T-thank you" He stutters
We make it to the car and we both get in and I start driving back to the college. The entire ride was silent and Evan just stared out the window the entire time.
When we finally made it back to the college we got out of the car and walked in silence back to the dorm. We got in to dorm, I went to my room and he went to his. I just sat down on my bed and thought.
"Evan Hansen might not be so bad after all"
A/N Hey guys I'm glad I got the second chapter done. I have to admit it's harder to write fluff for this story rather than my lams one because 1. I know Hamilton a little bit better and 2. Alex and Laurens seem like touchy feely type while Connor and Evan don't so it's a little but harder but, I'll make it work. Anyway I have a question for y'all, should I make Jared and Connor Compete for Evan. Comment yes or no and when Tuesday rolls around I'll count them up and decide from there. Hope you like this chapter.
