Chapter 1: We Start With Stars In Our Eyes

Evan's Pov:

I was walking down the hall with my friends to my dorm. It's all of our's first day of College. Jared my best (family) friend was talking to Zoe and Alana. I was walking down to what seems like the endless hallways of dorm looking for mine. I was walking quietly engulfed in my thoughts when my trance was broken by Jared slinging his arm around my shoulders. I just look up at him and give him a faint smile while pushing his arm off me.

"Hey we are gonna break off here our dorm is a few floors up" Alana says while waving goodbye. Zoe just gives us a nod and follows Alana up the stairs. Jared and I wave goodbye and keep walking down the hall.

We reach dorm number 412 which was Jared's dorm. Mine was 420, so we weren't too far apart. Jared opens his dorm door and I help haul in his luggage. I look around the room and it looks like his room mate isn't there yet.

"Lucky" I huff

"What" He says turning to me.

"Oh nothing" I respond. He just shrugs and walks to claim his room.

"Hey Jared I'm gonna get going and head off to my dorm" I call to him from the doorway

"Ok" He responds.

I leave the dorm and close the door the on my way out. I walk down the hall past the other 6 rooms when I finally reach 420. I linger in front of the door for a second until I pull out the key I got from the office. I was about to it put in the keyhole when I freeze. All these thoughts about my room mate rush through my head all at once. I shake me head to clear it slowly put the key into the key hole and open the door and step in. I was looking at the floor when I walked in and wasn't paying attention. Now I wish I was, cause I bumped right into someone. I immediately back up with my face turning red at the thought that this is probably my room mate and I have already embarrassed my self. My thoughts get cut short when I see a hand waving in front of my face and hear some one say

"Hello, do you talk?" I look up and see a tall pale skinned man with deep blue eyes and shoulder length chestnut brown hair looking down at me.

"I- I -I..Um..." I stutter out

"Dude I don't know what you saying, cause I speak English not whatever you're speaking." He says to me.

"HiI'msoverysorryIwasn'tpayingattentionmynameisEvanHansenyournewroommate" I slur out.

He just rolls his eyes and says "Again I didn't understand a word you said, but I'm assuming you're my new room mate. My name is Connor." When he finishes his sentence he sticks his hand out to me.

I nod and shake his hand

"I-I'm Evan um... um... Hansen" I respond. He eyes me and says

"Are you all right in the head bud?"

"Um... yea" I say

"Well...ok. I gotta go." He says rushing out the door.

"Well that could've been better" I mumble.

I walk over to the unclaimed room and put my luggage down in the room and just flop on the bed.

Connor's Pov:

I rush out of the dorm to avoid the awkward situation I was in. I didn't really have to go anywhere I just wanted to get out of there. He acted like he's never met another person before, but I do have to admit he was pretty cute. I walk down the hall of the dorms and down the stairs. I walk out into the fresh air and immediately spot my sister speaking to someone. I decided not to go interrupt her and just walk to the campus coffee shop. I go up to the counter and order and take a seat next to window. I look out the window and ponder about my room mate, but the only thought that flooded my head was

Connor and Evan's Pov:

Boy, this going to be a long year.

A/n Hey hey hey I got the first chapter done. YAY. I hope you enjoyed it. I will be continuing the story then I will go back to the lams one. And for those of you who went to check this one out because of the authors note on my previous story, I know I said it was going to be a Jared x Evan one, but i decided to do a Connor one. Oh well, anyway hope you liked it and it was 777 words.
