Evan's Pov
I walk into the coffee shop and see Jared and some other person sitting at a table and talking. I wasn't jealous or anything it's just that... He said he would text me when he is ready. He's like my only friend. I walk and sit down at the couches at the opposite side of the cafe than he was. I take out my phone and find his contact. I click his contact and call him. I look across the room and see him pick up his phone
"Hello?"
"Hey Jared... I was just wondering... If you wanted to do something?"
"Oh...Um... I can't...I...Um...At my mom's house...Sorry"
"Oh...yea that's fine...Bye"
"bye"
And I hang up the phone. Why did Jared lie to me about where he was? Was he avoiding me? And who is that person he's talking to?
My thoughts were interrupted by a text from Zoe.
Zoe: Hey whatcha doing today?
Evan: Nothing...Why?
Zoe: Alana and I were wondering if you wanted to come with us somewhere. It will be me, Alana, and my brother.
I sighed a little when I heard that Connor was coming. We're not the closest and I really don't think he wants to get any closer.
Evan: Ok... Why isn't Jared coming?
Zoe: He said he was busy.
Evan: Oh, ok. But sure I'll be glad to go.
Zoe: Cool meet us in an hour in front of our dorm building.
Evan: Ok
With that I lock my phone and stand up and walk out of the coffee shop. Walking out of the coffee shop I think of what I'm gonna do in the hour I have to kill. I just decide to walk around the campus and get to know it before classes start tomorrow.
Connor's Pov
After I finish texting Zoe I put my phone back down and finish up the cereal. After I finish I throw my dish in the sink and go get ready for the day. I put on a random shirt and black skinny jeans and pull on my signature black hoodie. I walk into the bathroom and do my hair and brush my teeth. When I'm done I check the time and notice I still have 45 minutes till I have to meet Alana, Zoe and Evan.
I honestly don't care about Zoe and Alana coming but Evan, I don't really know. We've only known each other for about a few days and we haven't really gotten along that well. I mean I don't know...Maybe we can bond a little this afternoon.

I walk out of the dorm building and see Alana and Zoe chatting on the bench right outside the building. I approach them and they turn to look at me. I immediately get uncomfortable with their eyes on me.
"Why are you looking at me?" I say
"I don't know... because you just got here I guess" Alana responds
"So... where's Evan" I ask
Alana eyes me suspiciously me "Why?"
"Oh...No reason...Just...curious" I say avoiding eye contact
"Hey" Zoe speaks up
"Hey" Alana says redirecting her eye line toward her
"Evan just texted me saying that he'll be 5 minutes" She says
