Chapter 9

Chen facepalmed at Kris' idea, so did the rest. They all went interested with Kris' idea. Yet, it all shocked their senses of how it was that simple.

"You call that complicated?!" Lay complained.

"What? Talking to ChiYeon after being cold to her is simply complicated." He innocently replied.

"That's what on my mind actually." Xiumin admitted.

At that exact moment, they spotted ChiYeon out of the women's restroom and was searching for them everywhere.

"If you want to fix this, grab the chance now." And the five of them ran away to find a hiding place, that would give them a view of this idea.

"Umm. Hi, ChiYeon." Chen started when ChiYeon finally found him. Confusion went in to her when she found Chen alone.

"Where are they?" She simply asked, ignoring the greeting of Chen.

"They.. they just.. went somewhere for a while. They would come back soon." He said.

Silence filled the two up. They remained standing all this time, waiting for the others to come. Truth is, those boys were filled with disappointment and frustration with Chen and his actions.

"Yah, Kris! Your plan isn't working, you pabo." Xiumin complained, scratching his neck with a this-will-not-work look.

"It will," Lay spoke, his eyes fixed with the two. "Trust me. Chen won't leave it just like that."

The others sighed. "Until when are we going to remain here? Chen's not making any progress!" Luhan said, actions just like Xiumin earlier.

Meanwhile, between Chen and ChiYeon, there was still silence.

You better speak, Chen. Standing here doing nothing won't work.

"ChiYeon," He started. The boys, who were watching them hoped for a success on their plan. "I'm sorry for treating you cold earlier. Truth is, I'm just frustrated how I didn't come and asked you to come." He paused. "But shouldn't you be resting at home? Are you alright?"

"Treating me coldly earlier made me think you were mad. But I didn't mind," She replied. " I just thought you were on period or something."

"What?! On my monthly period?! Seriously?!"

"I was kidding," She laughed. "I'm fine, Chen. I was taking a walk outside our house due to boredom. Who knows I'd bump with Lay and he'd ask me to join you guys here?"

"I really apologize." He said sincerely, head bowed on the floor.

"Look up, Chen," ChiYeon said, raising Chen's head with her hand. "I don't really mind that thing earlier. Thanks for worrying and I assure you I'm fine."

Chen was shocked by what ChiYeon did. He had always felt this, ever since he shared his story to ChiYeon about his best friend. And maybe, he was soon in confirming his feelings for her.

After fixing his treatment with her, the rest of them finally came back, of course, with a lame excuse. 

"We uhh.."

"You what?" Chen asked.

"Umm.."

"Because.. umm.."

"Luhan met his girlfriend around here." Kris exclaimed. 

"Yeah," Luhan agreed. Then, he got it. "Wait, what?"

"What?" Chen said, starting to laugh. "Girlfriend? Hyung, why didn't you tell me? Did you all know this?" He asked.

"What?" Xiumin asked.
