"Kim ChiYeon!" ChiYeon spun around to look at Chen, or should she call Jongdae from now on. He said he wanted her to call him by his real name.
She saw him holding three roses in his hand. Even feeling the shyness, he gathered his courage and gave it.
"Flowers. It's for you." He said.
ChiYeon hesitated to receive the flowers, since she knew, she might just be giving false hopes to Jongdae. She was afraid to hurt him, so she got the flowers from him and smiled.
"Thank you."
"Do you want to go to the classroom with me? We're just at the same class." He offered, grinning.
"S-sure."
-
The two came to their classroom, greeting their teacher a great morning. Both of them sat down and ChiYeon started reading.
Jongdae noticed it and frowned slightly. "Hey, are you going to just read? You won't talk to me?"
"Che-" She trailed off, remembering his reminder. "Jongdae, we have an assessment. We have to study."
"Yeah, but that's after lunch. Can't you not speak with me?" He started doing his puppy eyes.
ChiYeon's eyes rounded in surprise, seeing him like that for the first time. Liking him seems to be really hard. You'll have to resist his cuteness to win.
"No, Kim Jongdae. You better read as well." She firmly stated. He sat properly and started reading.
"Fine. You said so."
-
Days passed and flowers seemed to flood in ChiYeon's room. There's no day that would pass without him giving her flowers. Some flowers have wilted, but soon got replaced with new ones.
Jongdae's courting slowly started. Since he knew that ChiYeon wanted to take everything slowly, he did it that way. His family noticed that Jongdae have been really cheerful, more cheerful than he already is.
But ChiYeon, on the other hand, seemed to be in debate on whether she should entertain him or not. She wanted to remain as who she is right now. She don't want to make things uncomfortable for Jongdae. And she doesn't want him to be scared of her, if she knows about her real identity.
She was in sleepless nights, both because of studies and her decision. She doesn't want to hurt Jongdae in the end when she disappears, and finally decided on what is she going to do.
"Kim Jongdae." They were currently strolling in the park. It was weekends and he invited her. It wasn't a date, though. Only an outing for friends, maybe?
"Hmm?" He looked at her.
"I.. I have to tell you something."
"Yes?" He was smiling at her. If you only know how I wanted to be with you, always. But maybe this is really not for us.
"You.. you have to stop courting me." She stated.
Jongdae's smile immediately turned into something just neutral. He wondered, "Why?"
"I c-couldnt give you a-any proper r-reason. All I know is you have to stop."
"ChiYeon, I'm taking everything slow. I'm not rushing you. I just want to know you more and more." Jongdae said, slowly being saddened by this.
