Chapter 1 -
Memorable Goodbyes
and a
Familiar Hello

[Reminder: Just to keep this in mind, I started to write this book when I was still watching the first season of DNA.]

"Bye!!"

Uematsu Kagami waved goodbye to her friends at Inashiro Vocational High. She was accompanied by her uncle who stood by her side.

"Gami- San!!" A voice called. Matsu whipped her head towards the calling voice and spotted Inashiro's ace frantically waving and shouting to get the girl's attention. Once they had made eye contact, the blonde pitcher praised Matsu, and soon enough the rest of the baseball team started to join in.

"Thank you, Matsu- San!"

"There goes our queen!!!"

"Come and visit us soon, Matsu!!"

The female pitcher was showered with compliments by her team. She thanked them for welcoming her to the team and said that it was a pleasure to be the baseball team's assistant coach for all of that time.

Inashiro's baseball team was devastated that their 'queen' would be leaving. Though they still possibly would be able to still see her at practice matches and so on, they knew it wouldn't be the same without their little cheerleader cheering them on during their games. The team knew that even if Matsu was on the opposite team, she would still be cheering them on because they still would be her friends that she had spent a lot of memories with.

When goodbyes were said and done, Matsu hopped into her uncle's car and her uncle started to drive off into the distance. She looked at the side view mirror and saw that the team was still waving back at the driving vehicle. She decided to roll her window down and stick her head out. She waved her hands back at her friends with a huge grin plastered on her face.

"Until next time!!!"

She shouted at the top of her lungs. When the vehicle finally had turned at a corner and the waving figures were out of sight, Matsu closed her window once more and plopped down against the car seat. She heaved a deep sigh. A sigh filled with sparkling emotions, emotions that were too complicated to explain.

'Until next time.... Inashiro....'

"Excuse me, do you know where I can find Coach Kataoka?"

Matsu had just arrived at Seidou High School. She desperately had to find the coach because she was completely lost in the new building. The former Inashiro student asked a friendly looking student that was passing by.

"Coach Kataoka? Of the baseball team?" The petite girl asked. Matsu immediately nodded her head. "I'm pretty sure you can find him in the baseball field at the back..." she continued. " They're also having a practice right now I believe.." The student added.

Matsu bowed and thanked her. Quickly, she searched for the back doors of the school building and hurried towards the baseball field. It didn't take long to find the field. All you had to do was look for a big building that looked like a field and listened for shouts coming from high school boys.

Matsu managed to enter the field without being noticed by anyone. Hurriedly, she started to look around for the baseball team's coach. In no time, Matsu spotted the man walking away from their bullpen.
