Long Awaited Chapter 13 😂

"This is not happening." The first string catcher mumbled to himself as he walked to the mess hall. The events from yesterday had been bugging him ever since he left the bullpen that evening.

His long train of thought was cut off by a familiar voice. "Miyuki wait up!"

The said catcher turned around to see Kuramochi running up to him. "What's up?" He greeted, slowly falling back into his thoughts.

"Great as always, I beat Sawamura again at— hey are you listening?" He asked, noticing Kazuya's dazed attitude. "Yo, Miyuki!" He gave him a nudge in his side to bring him back to his senses. "You alright? You seem out of it."

The catcher shook his head and gave a small nod, continuing to walk to the mess hall. "How do you know if you like someone?" He asked, making Kuramochi clear out his ears.

"Did you just say what I think you said?" He snickered.

"Just answer my question!"

"You like Matsu, don't you?" Miyuki stopped in his tracks, breath getting caught in the back of his throat. "Hyahahahahah!" laughed Kuramochi. "You do! I knew it!"

The shortstop laughed for a few more seconds before running to the mess hall without his buddy. Miyuki just stood there in a daze. He liked Kagami? Is that what that rapid heart beat meant? Was it not a heart attack after all?

"Kazuya!"

Oh no.

He turned around once again, but this time he saw the one person who he didn't want to see right now.

"Hey, wanna go to the mess hall together?" Kagami spoke once she caught up to Miyuki, her cheeks with a visible blush.

"Y-Yeah.." He stuttered. This surprised Kagami. Miyuki almost never stutters.

"Alright," she spoke, turning. "lets go.."

And so the battery walked to the mess hall for breakfast. It was an unfamiliar silence that surrounded them on the way there. Once they eventually made it, Miyuki opened the door and let Kagami in first. Once he entered, he and Kagami were met with an ocean of eyes, smirks, and devilish looks. Amidst the eyes he spotted the most evilest one. Kuramochi's.

"Hey lovebirds!" He greeted, causing everyone. Everyone. To smirk.

The pair stood at the door frozen, blushing messes, and speechless.

"W-What's the meaning of this?" Matsu asked, stumbling over her own words.

"Nothing, nothing.." came Sawamura's voice from the same table as Kuramochi. "Does your boyfriend pick you up from your dorm every morning or something? You two always come at the same time?"

"B-B-Boyfriend?!"

"Kuramochi!!!!" Miyuki came stomping over to the green haired shortstop and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him out of his seat. "What did you tell everybody?" He spat, voice dangerous low. When Kuramochi didn't reply he dragged him out of the mess hall.

"Woah, woah, woah,"

"Did you tell everyone that I like Kagami?" The catcher angrily questioned, letting go of his friend's collar.

"I might have... what's so bad about that?"

Kazuya looked down to avoid eye contact before answering "I don't even know myself if I like her.."

Kuramochi swung an arm around the catcher shoulder. "Trust me, you do." He paused before speaking again. "Your heart beats rapidly when you're around them, it becomes awkward when you're alone with them, and you realize that you feel something else between the two of you that you didn't realize before. "

"What's that about?" Miyuki asked, confused.

"The answers to the question you asked me earlier. How to know if you like someone."

Miyuki absorbed his friend's words before Kuramochi spoke again. "Don't worry, i'll be your wing man." and with that, he returned to the mess hall. "Don't stress about it bro!"

'Heart beats rapidly when you're with them.'

'Becomes awkward when you're alone with them.'

'Realize that you feel something else between the two of you that you didn't realize before.'

If Kuramochi was right for once then that really meant that..

"I really do like her."

omg i finally updated

this was kind of a crappy comeback chapter but this is better than nothing right

also i completely ignored what happened to miyuki at the beginning of chapter 12 so just forget that he realized it back then or smth

if you couldn't tell it's been a long time since i last updated and my writing really has improved, in my opinion.

anyways long time no see readers, i hope y'all are satisfied, even by the tiniest bit, by this update!
