The Mad Hatter

Dr. Leslie Tompkins Home- 4:31 PM~ (Y/N) POV

I woke up feeling dead and groggy. My head pounded some as I picked myself off of the ground. I placed my hand upon my head to where I felt it pounding the most. As everything began coming into focus, I noticed I wasn't at home. Scared, I twisted my head left to right only to find myself looking at Lee sitting on the floor beside me. We were in her bathroom.

"Good you're awake!" Lee grinned at me.

I gave a small smile back moving my foot a little bit, hearing the sound of metal clink against the ground. Confused I looked at my foot and saw a chain with a lock wrapped around it, attached to the bathtub.

"Lee- What am I doing here,Who-" the memories and events from before I had blacked out, started flooding my mind again "JERVIS!" I screamed at myself.

Lee gave me an odd look for talking to myself but suggested we both try to find ways to get ourselves out of this. I took another look at the chain noticing something that could both help us escape. Sharing my observations I said, "Luckily they left us enough chain lengths to roam around a little bit, All I have to do is-"

"Find a bobby pin or something to pick at this lock" Lee suggested, and continued to search for anything bobby pin like or just a plain old bobby pin, then added

"You know you're just like your Uncle, I can sense the passion you have for criminal justice just like he does." She giggled.

"Really?" I questioned, hoping what she was saying was actually true, as I shifted myself towards the other side of the bathroom.

Letting out a few more chuckles she replied "Yeah, I feel like I'm talking to a mini version of Jim."

"That's-" the metal shining a bit of light as my eyes passed by caught my attention "I found one Lee!" I grabbed it and handed it to Lee as she turned back around to now try to unlock the contraption tied around my foot first. After a few minutes of Lee wrestling the bobby pin to go inside....*CLICK*... Yay! It worked! Now Lee jammed it into her lock so she could set us both free. I could hear the metals scraping together then.. *CLICK*. "Oh thank goodness, Let's get out of here (Y/N)!!!" Lee picked me up from the floor and grabbed me by the shoulder forcefully as we headed towards the door.

Footsteps were coming from the other side of the door, and too bad for us, we had heard it too late if we were even planning on trying to pretend we were sitting on the floor helpless. Although my chances were slim of Jervis actually thinking we didn't just try to escape, I tried to trick him anyway. I made a run for it back to my spot on the floor, wrapping a chain around my foot sloppily. Lee followed doing somewhat the same thing.

The door gave a loud scream, I gave a straight face towards whoever was behind the door.

"Hello you two! Ah- and Hello (Y/N) Gordonnnnn.." boy did it make me cringe hearing him drag out the ending of my last name." -You're awake just in time for our special occasion. I was hoping you'd be awake for it. " Jervis joked. "Our little Tea party should be starting momen-" I saw his eyes direct themselves towards the floor, he took a few steps closer to me. I moved my head down. What did we get ourselves into? He bent down without a hurry and met me at eye level. "Now... Why on earth would you try to leave my dear?". Jervis' breath reeked of liquor, trying to keep myself together without gagging I looked up to his eyes, "Obvious reasons, I don't want to be here and... Did you brush your teeth this morning? or did you brush with Liquor cause PHEWWW WEEE!" After saying this I realized how idiotic I sounded than brave. Jervis brought his face closer than necessary into mine, giving me a death stare, from the corner of my eye I could see Jervis bring his hand up and glide his hand through the air to crash it against my face for a cold hard slap. He stopped himself once he was a centimeter away from my cheek. His hands began to tremble and shake uncontrollably with anger, then he began to force out deep belly laughs, "You're one funny little girl aren't you. A savage mind just like James. Must run in the family!" Was it compare (Y/N) to Jim Gordon day or what?! He grabbed the chain on my foot and made sure it was extra secure than before. "There we go. Almost ready! These two-" he pointed his pointer finger to the two men standing on either side of the door, "-They'll bring you down once the table has been set up! I can't wait for our special guest to join us!" Jervis sprang up like a bunny and hopped over outside with the two men standing still, guarding us, making sure we wouldn't try to escape again.

"You guys willing to help us escape for some money?!" I asked hopeful.

"(y/n), stop talking." Lee shot her eyes at me.

"But Lee-" I whined as she continued to stare me down, "Fine" I groaned.

A/N- Thank you all so much for the reads!  It means so much to me and I cannot wait to continue updating this story with more chapters. I've been watching the last few episodes of Gotham since I am not caught up and OH MY GOODNESS!! They are giving me so many ideas for this fan-fiction 😂 can't wait to write them and get them up on here! :)
