(Y/N)'s POV- Saturday- 7 AM

***BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP***

Ugh, the only thing that could really push my buttons more than anything in the world was being woken up by a stupid alarm clock.

***BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP***

I slammed my hand on top of my phone and shut the noise off, tossing my phone to the other side of the room. My feet hit the ground, feeling tender as they touched the fuzzy carpet below. The lids of my eyes drooped as I rubbed them. As long as it took me to get out of bed, the more time I spent thinking if training was an actual good idea. I threw on some workout clothes and a small duffle bag, packing some water, headphones, and a towel to dry off with.

7:17 AM

I was just about ready to head to Bruce's, wrapping my hair up into a tight ponytail, allowing some loose strands to stray until my uncle came into the kitchen, yawning loudly.

"Heading to train (Y/n)?"

As yawns were known to be contagious I caught one and let one out as well, "yeah, do you think you could give me a ride" Without hesitation my uncle answered, "Sure, I don't see why not" placing his hands in his pajama pockets he walked on over to his bedroom to get dressed.

7:25 AM

We hopped into the car and headed on out the door to the Wayne Manor and after what seemed like the longest car ride in the history of car rides we finally got there. "You think you'll be okay?" I raised my eyebrows and looked strangely at my uncle asking such an odd question, "yeah, why wouldn't I be?". He stared at me for a moment, then turned his head back to the wheel shaking it off. "Well... never mind. Have fun!" He smiled unlocking the passenger door for me.

I trotted on inside, "I see you came prepared (Y/N)!" Alfred observed. "Of course Alfred, I was hoping I could learn how to fight in these everyday type of clothes, then move onto formal attire like a dress of some sort" I joked. With a few chuckles exchanged between the both of us, Alfred informed me of Bruce's whereabouts. "I'll be with you both in a few minutes, I've got to wrap up a few things with Wayne Enterprises". "Oh don't worry Alfred, take your time, I'll be waiting with Bruce." I headed upstairs down each and every corridor of the manor until I finally reached the Garden room.

Bruce seemed to be in deep thought as I watched him take his time feeling textures of each individual plants. It's ridges and dents, to the soil beneath it. I slightly tapped the rim of the door way , "Good Morning Bruce". He turned around and gave me a soft wave, "Good Morning (Y/N)" and went back to observing the plants. I could feel something was wrong, but wasn't sure whether or not I'd want to be so abrupt with asking him what was bothering him. Bruce was like me, he would be stubborn telling you what's on his mind unless you began digging for information, he'd finally break. "What's wrong Bruce?". I saw the back of his head sway side to side, "Nothing." I admired the plant standing in front of me, a beautiful Magnolia flower was sprouted out, releasing a nice fragrance from its petals, with some water droplets quietly resting on it. "There is something- Tell me Bruce. What's on your mind." I turned around to him, crossing my arms, as I stood there waiting for a response. It took him a minute or two to finally turn around to my direction and confess to me what was pestering him. "Thursday Night." He muttered. "Jerome and the Carnival?" I questioned. "I haven't been able to get my mind off it since." he sighed, fluffing his hair out, gliding his fingers through each strand in a stressful manner.  I felt like I knew where he was getting at. "The Mirror Maze" he randomly remarked. "What about the Mirror Maze?" I asked latching onto a petal. "Something in that moment, Fighting with Jerome made me a different person.... I felt anger like I've never felt before. Looking at myself in the mirror seeing what I was about to do to Jerome frightened me." Listening to Bruce, I suggested my own thoughts on the subject, "That's exactly what Jerome was trying to do. He was trying to make you become like him. Knowing you Bruce, you will never, ever be anything close to being like Jerome.  I believe you were just overwhelmed with emotions, emotions you kept hidden inside of you." Bruce started hyperventilating, "What if it happens again (Y/N)? What if next time I do something I don't mean, something I'll regret?". I placed my hand on his shoulder, immediately I felt a wave of anxiety pass through me from him. "It won't happen. I know it won't. You can learn from this experience, you don't want to go through something like this again,  you'll know for next time. Now its time for me to tell you.. Trust me Bruce." He smiled slightly. I put my hand down, "Use all of that emotion for your training, then when your ready to fight crime or whatever life throws at you... it'll just be reflexes." Alfred came in the room hurriedly, "Who's up first?". I looked over at Bruce, "I think Bruce would like to go first" I smiled, nodding for Bruce to give it a go.

After Bruce's training session, Alfred was breaking out in a heavy sweat.  I was nervous I must admit, but knew if I had wanted to live and make it in Gotham... I'd have to learn how to defend myself.  "Alright, first you're gonna want to put your arm here-" Alfred positioned his arm vertical, then surprised threw his arm in my face for a punch, luckily I reacted fast and dodged it. "Nicely done..." then another swing was taken, this time I used my arm as a shield. We continued to keep on working on fighting with our arms, and then moved onto full on fighting. Bruce looked shocked and surprised with how my session was going.

****RING RING*** my phone buzzed violently on the table, stopping my lesson. I picked it up,  "Hello?"

"(Y/N) it's 12:24 in the afternoon, what time are you coming home, you've been at Bruce's for 6 hours!"

In disbelief I took the phone off my ear, and looked at the time... Unfortunately he was right.

"Oh my goodness, I'm sorry Uncle Jim, I didn't realize. I was so engaged in the lessons.."

"Ok, I'll be there to pick you up in ten minutes be ready."

"Alright, Bye."

I hung up, and bent down to the floor to gather my things. "Leaving Already (Y/N)?" Bruce questioned, "Yeah, I'm sorry Bruce, my uncle Jim wants me home now. Thank you both for allowing me to come over to learn some cool tricks, It means a lot to me. " Without hesitation Alfred was courteous and gave his kindest regards.

The car door slammed behind me as I settled in, hearing the seatbelt click. "I need you to wash up when we get home, we have to be somewhere later tonight." I was curious, "Where?".

"I'll explain on the car ride there but, we're going to a cabin my uncle wanted me to meet me at."

"OOooh a cabin? Are we staying there?" I asked intrigued.

"No. Just there for some simple answers." he replied, intensely focused on the road ahead
