Chapter 31

~Sharna's POV~

Sharna was walking towards the press line with Bonner. Ready for the interviews they had to give this week. But she did not expect what was going to happen. 

The first interview she immediately got a video of another interview. It was Pierson and he was telling the reporter he had a crush on her, that he wished they were dating and he even suggested they had gone out on a date together. The last one was true, but that happened a couple of months ago, and nothing had happened in the last couple of weeks. 

While she was watching the interview she had to think how to response to it. She wasn't ready to tell the world she was dating Val. But they did expect her to answer what was happening with her and Pierson. She talked about the fact that she liked him, as a friend. She tried to laugh it off, but inside she was hurting. 

She had hoped Pierson would back off once she told him that she was seeing someone else. But apparently he wasn't ready to let go, or he still wanted to get Sharna back. And now she was dealing with a jealous ex. 

Sharna finished the press line as soon as possible, she needed to talk to Val about it. She wanted to be the one to tell him, and not that she saw it without her. She told Bonner to head home, she was going with Val. And that they would see each other again the next morning. 

Val was still talking to the press and Sharna was watching him from a distance. He looked so happy with Normani next to him. Sharna didn't want to ruin it by telling him this news. But she knew she had to. 

Val was finally finished with his interviews and walked up to Sharna. 

"I saw you have been waiting for me, why? Is there something wrong?"

Sharna pulled him away from the crowd, towards her trailer. Not saying a word. When they finally arrived at her trailer, Sharna let them both in. She sat down on the couch and Val sat next to her, grabbing her hands. 

"I'm getting worried, what is wrong Shar?"

Sharna got out her phone and found the video she was looking for within seconds. She showed the video to Val. Sharna kept her eyes on Val's face's knowing his eyes would be the first to show his emotion. 

"What is this?!" Val asked.

"This is Pierson, saying he wants to date me, yesterday at the Emmy's." 

"But you told him you were seeing someone else? Why is he still spreading rumors you two are together?!"

"I don't know, but I did tell him this. I don't know why he still doing this?" Sharna felt Val was getting angry and she didn't want him to be angry.

"I'm sorry. I'm not angry at you. I'm angry at him." Val had apparently felt that Sharna didn't like the fact that he was getting angry. 

"I'm sorry Shar. But I just want him to stop doing this. Earlier this week he also semi-confirmed that you two are dating. I let it slip that time, but now it's going too far."

"He did what?!"

"Earlier this week he also told, in an interview, that he was seeing you. I didn't want to tell you, hoping it was just once. But this is going too far. The Emmy's are watched worldwide, as are the interviews. He should have known better."

"Seriously, he is an ass. Don't worry Val, I will call him right away. I have to tell him to back off." 

Sharna got out her phone and searched for Pierson's number. Val was sitting next to her and put his hands on her hand, slowing her down. 

"You sure?" He asked, and Sharna could see the concern and love in his eyes.

"Yes, I don't want to have to deal with this anymore. I want to tell him to back off."
