Chapter 34

~Val's POV~

Sharna would not get home before midnight and Val really wanted to see her. After the interviews she had texted him she was going to the hotel and try to get some sleep. He wished her a good night sleep and he hoped she would get it. After the hard work she did this season, she deserved nothing less.

He had just finished rehearsals when he sent a goodnight text and not long after he was on his way to his car. He sat down and his phone rang, seeing it was Sharna he turned off the engine and answered the phone.

"Hey babe, I thought you were going to sleep? Want a bed time story?" Val laughed, but when Sharna didn't respond, he got worried. 

"Sharna? Sharna, are you there?"

He heard her cry on the other side, and now Val really got worried.

"Sharna, what is going on? What happened? Where are you? Are you hurt? Please Shar, answer me."

Val had never felt this worried before. His girlfriend was crying, and on the other side of the country. He had no way to comfort her right now.

Val heard the crying slowly subdue and finally he heard Sharna's voice, although still very small and sad.

"Val..." 

"Yes babe, I'm here, please tell me."

Again Sharna took some time, before she answered and Val heard her take a deep breath.

"He was here. He was at the hotel."

"Who was, Sharna?"

"Pierson.... He was waiting for me in the lobby at the hotel. He pulled me apart and he threatened me. I had a feeling he wanted to pull me into the elevator, but I was able to push him away and hurry to my room. I have no idea if he followed me, but I'm afraid that he is waiting for me outside."

Val got angry when he heard Pierson's name. He knew that him and Sharna had a brief relationship, but he knew that Sharna no longer had feelings for him. But hearing that he stalked Sharna, made him really angry with him. But he swallowed away this anger, because right now, it wouldn't help Sharna.

"Sharna, try to breath slowly. You are in your room right now, safe from him. You can call the people at the desk, or the police maybe they can check everything for you."

"I will, but I just needed to hear your voice. Why is he here? Why is he following me?"

"I, unfortunately, don't know the answers to those questions. But I do know that the moment you are back on that plane to LA, and you land in LAX, I will be there to get you. And I don't even care if other people no that I'm there for you."

"Thank you Val. Will you stay on the phone a little longer. I'm going to call reception and ask them to check for me. And after that I'll go to the airport as soon as possible, I don't want to stay in this hotel any longer."

"Off course I'll stay on the phone, I'll stay as long as you need me to."

Val heard her made a call to the reception and ask the security to help her. While he heard Sharna in the background, Val tried to control the breathing. He was getting angry at Pierson, how dare he hurt and scare his girl. Sharna was never one to scare easily, so for her to call him crying, he knew she was extremely upset. 

"Val, you still there?"

"Yes."

"They are going to walk upstairs to my room and afterwards immediately escort me to a cap. I don't want to stay here any longer."
