~Sharna's POV~
It was Monday, the day of the quarter finale. Sharna was really proud of Bonner, for making it this far. But when she woke up this morning, she knew they would be leaving this day. They were at the bottom of the leader board and she knew that they would need a miracle to make it past other contestants.
So she packed a small bag and brought it with her to the studio. Even though Val tried to convince her otherwise. She put the bag in the trailer and got ready for the show.
Their first dance that night was the Argentine Tango. A dance she loved, although this time it was a little different, she knew she told the story. And no matter what, that was always the most important thing to do.
After make-up and getting dressed, Sharna went looking for Bonner to prepare for the evening ahead.
The first dance, during the live show, went fairly well in Sharna's mind. Off course Bonner wasn't the best dancer, and he made some little mistakes, he still did his absolute best.
The judges critiques were fair, until Len started speaking.
Sharna was amazed in a negative way by what he said. And she had to try to contain herself in every possible way, not to say something back to him.
After they got their scores Sharna and Bonner walked off. Sharna could see Bonner was pissed with the judges and he immediately walked away from where the other dancers would wait for them.
Sharna tried to calm him down, but that was hard, especially because she completely understood why he was angry. But after 15 minutes of talking to him, she convinced him to change and perform one more time.
Sharna walked back to the Red Room and the moment she entered the rest of the cast was immediately on her side. All of them saying Len had crossed a line and they were proud of her for staying calm. Sharna was pleased with all their lovely words, but she quickly had to go to get changed.
When she returned to the Red Room she went looking for Bonner, but he was no where to be found. She decided to let him be for a moment.
She felt someone pull her by her arm towards a more private area. Sharna followed this person, knowing who it was. The moment they arrived at the place, where no camera could see them, he wrapped his arms tightly around her.
"I can't believe he said that to you and Bonner. Len was way out of line."
"Thanks Val."
"I'm serious. He is allowed to think this, and he is allowed to say something about it, but it is just plain rude to say it this way."
"Bonner is really hurt by this and I really don't know how to help him."
"Do you want me to talk to him?"
"If you want to, I would love for you to try."
"Please."
"Come here, you should also take care of yourself, I know how much you are invested in the choreo and your partner. So I know you take this to heart. But I want you to know I'm really proud of you." Val pulled Sharna into a hug and kissed her on her forehead.
Sharna and Val walked back to the Red Room and Sharna saw Bonner standing in the room. Val gave Sharna a quick kiss on her cheek, before he walked to Bonner.
From a distance Sharna watched the two man interact and she really hoped it would help Bonner feel a little better. When the two man parted, she walked towards Bonner and she could see he was feeling a little better.
"I'm ready to kill the jazz," was all he said. And Sharna knew he was ready for it.
The jazz didn't get the scores they wished for, but anyway Sharna was proud of Bonner. Again she did not like the comments the judges made on their dance, especially since they told her that the choreography was raunchy and almost crossing the line. That was never her intention with the choreography and she believed it didn't come across like that.
