~Val's POV~
He just wanted to get home after he had hung up the phone. It was really hard sitting on the other side of the world while his girlfriend was hurting. Val knew that he hadn't taken away all her problems, but he hoped she would just sleep for a couple of hours. He knew that as soon as she was stressed her insomnia would kick in.

It was Saturday evening and Val finally got off the plane. He was supposed to arrive a couple of hours earlier, but his flight got delayed. He really hoped this wouldn't happen to Normani, because then she would miss the show.
Val called an Uber and sent it to Sharna's house. He had texted her when he knew his flight was delayed, but he didn't tell her when he would arrive. He wanted to surprise her.
On both Thursday and Friday night she had barely slept at all. And tonight would probably not be any different. He hoped that with his presence she would sleep a little better.
He arrived at her apartment and when he saw the lights were still on, he knocked on the door. Val listened closely if he could hear her. He heard her walk towards the door and she slowly opened the door.
When she saw him she swung the door open and jumped in his open arms. Val kept her close when he entered her apartment.
"So good to see you again princess," he said, before he kissed her. They sat down on the couch and Sharna curled up in his side. Putting her head on his shoulder. This was exactly what Val had missed these last couple of days.
"I missed you so much," Sharna said.
"I missed you too, especially after Thursday. Doing any better?"
"Well apart from the fact I barely slept. I'm doing better. This dance is very good for Bonner, so that makes it easier for me."
Val kissed her on the top of her head. "Good to hear. And tonight you'll sleep better." Val smirked.
"Yes, I sure will."
"I'll also sleep a lot better."
"Are you ready to go to bed?"
"No need to ask me."
Val got up and gave Sharna a hand to help her up. Together they walked to Sharna's bedroom.
They both undressed and got in bed. Sharna immediately put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
Val took a little longer to fall asleep. He stared at Sharna for some time while she was sleeping. She looked relaxed and had a small smile on her face. He could stare at her for the entire night. Val put his lips on Sharna's forehead and whispered: "I love you."
Val put his head down and closed his eyes, not falling asleep long after.
***********************************************************************************************
In the next two weeks Val left for Asia on Monday and came back on Saturday. He missed Sharna a lot at those times, but they were able to make it work. On top of that he knew it was almost over. The one thing he really wanted was to take Sharna out on a date again. Because they barely had time for each other on Sunday and Monday, he wanted to do something special on the night he was first off. Which was the evening off Week 4, Most Memorable Week.
He had been working with Normani on their Rumba every spare time she had, which wasn't a lot. He really hoped the judges wouldn't talk to him about having not enough content.
It was the Sunday morning before the MMW show. Val was sitting in his trailer. He had returned at 3 am in the morning and had gone to bed straight away. On the other days he went straight to Sharna's place, but he didn't want to wake her.
Val's rehearsal with Normani had been pushed to later that day, so he put his head down on his couch. He put music on and closed his eyes, wanting to get some sleep. He didn't hear anyone knock on the door or walk into his trailer.
All of a sudden Val felt someone sit on top of him and Val's eyes shot open. It took him a second to adjust, but then he looked into the beautiful blue eyes of his girlfriend.
"Sorry," she said. "You were trying to get some sleep?"
"Yes, I was, but not anymore."
"Oops. I can get off you?"
"Seriously... you ask me if I rather sleep than have my girlfriend on top of me? I tell you want I like more."
Before Sharna could say anything or move away, Val grapped her and pulled her down on top him. And in one move he rolled her over, so he was on top of her.
"But I like it better this way." Val put his lips on hers and started kissing her. Val felt Sharna response to him and he deepened the kiss. Val put his hands on Sharna's waist and wanted to push up her shirt. But when he put his hands on her bare waist, Sharna pushed Val away.
"I'm sorry," she said. "But I have rehearsals in 10 minutes. I just came here to see you, but I don't have too much time."
"Really, you have to go already?"
"Yes, I have to go."
Val pouted his lips, hoping he would bring her to other thoughts.
"I'm sorry, Val, but my rehearsals start."
Sharna started to move under Val, trying to get away. But Val wasn't going to let her go easily, he was going to let her go eventually. But he wanted to tease her a little longer.
While Sharna was trying to get away, Val took Sharna's wrists and put them above her head.
"You want to go, try to get away."
Sharna struggled a little harder, but the way Val was holding her wrists, she couldn't get away.
"Val, let me go." Sharna started to struggle more with her legs. But Val made sure that with his weight he would keep her down.
"Try," he challenged her.
But after 30 more seconds he decided he had teased her enough. First he got his weight off her, and then he let go of her wrist. He got off her and helped her up.
"Okay, I'm letting you go."
Sharna gave Val an angry look, but she was only able to keep it for a couple of seconds.
"I missed you babe," she said. She quickly gave him a kiss before she walked off and left his trailer.
Val watched her walk away with a smile on his face. He couldn't remember last time he felt this happy. He decided to go into the studio as well and watch her rehearsal. After that maybe they could grab something to eat and finish what they started in his trailer.
When he got in the studio he saw Sharna and Bonner work on their foxtrot. This was a style that really suited him and he was doing fairly well. Val sat down and watched the rest of the rehearsals. When Sharna and Bonner were done, Val walked towards them.
"You did really good bro," Val said. "So much better than last week. This is your style."
"Thanks Val. It feels so much better than last week."
"Do you mind if I steal your partner for lunch, or do you have more rehearsals?"
"Nope, you can have her. We just agreed to rehearse a little more at 4 this afternoon. So I'll need her back by then. Otherwise I'll have no idea what to do with her."
"Seriously guys, I'm still here," Sharna said.
Both the guys laughed and Bonner gave Sharna a hug before he walked away.
"So you wanted to take me out for lunch?" Sharna asked.
"Yes, we didn't have breakfast together this morning. So I wanted to, at least, have lunch with you."
"Sounds like an amazing plan."
