Chapter 1 The Shadow rising

The man who was talking to Zane can be seen talking with a group who has a blue stone. "So that is the stone of the last true vampire?" He asks.

With a nod one of the men in the group answers. "Yes sir. Cops paid hella price tryin to defend it. But we got it, Mr. Nuru."

The man nods and says. "My son knows some remnant of vampires exist. We may need someone to... remove him from the picture when he tries to get nosy." The group nods.

Where the glass dome is above the room a pair of yellow eyes can be seen. Mika and Jade Valentine can be seen jumping through the window.

Mika opens with. "Jade, where's the Nightstalker?" Jade falls to the ground. A tall creature can be seen standing behind her.

"HEY tall dark and ugly." Shouts Zane The creature turns to face Zane a normal teenager. Jade picks herself back up, and tackles Zane.

"Dude you CAN'T face a monster head on like that, let the dead girl handle this!" Jade shouts and breaks a line of pipe off the wall. "Batter up!" She whacks the Nightstalker but instead of killing it, she aggravates it. "What the hell is that thing?" Asks Zane taking cover behind a wall. The creature seems to notice this and veers around grabbing the teen by the neck and throwing him across the roof.

Inside the building the man points up saying. "Kill em all." The men in the group open fire shooting the glass through. Zane falls down through the glass crashing through a few crates.

"Ah, our test subject has arrived." The man says taking the stone and holding it over the teen.

*Two Hours Later*

Zane hears a woman saying. "Ugh finally he's awake!" He notices a strange feeling among his teeth as he opens his eyes and sits up. He bites his lip and notices the feeling of what can only be assumed to be fangs.

"The hell?" He whispers to himself. Mika looks at Zane. Zane notices an evil marking on Mika's arm.

"What?" She questions. "What kind of cult group are you part of? If at all."

Opens the guy Mika signs no saying. "Jade and I aren't, you see for some reason, I'm, like, the reincarnation of some evil witch in the 1600s, but that was a past life, I'm a good person just ask Jade, our friend Darius, and my best friend Kennedy, they can tell you."

The teen stands up and hits a wall. His fist goes clean through it. Which is a bit of a shock to the doctors in the room because the wall is made of bricks.

"So I'm stronger. But... what happened after I fell through the dome of glass?" He asks.

Zane looks outside the window watching as rain drops slide down it. "Great... just great. I've never fought or killed anyone. But now I'm going to be forced to kill or I lose my mind." Michael Hannible makes himself known with a woman.

"Oh thank the lord you're ok." She says running over and giving Zane a hug.

"I'm fine mom. A little confused. But otherwise fine." He answers.

Michael closes his eye's saying. "You have the heart of a Bull Mr. Nuru."

The teen nods and turns his attention back to the window saying. "I have a lot of questions that I need answered. Now more than ever."

Michael nods in understanding and walks over to him saying. "I have once been in your shoes myself child. Know that when you need help we are standing by."

With a nod Zane replies. "Thank you director Hannible." The teen walks out with his mother.

"Does the woman know he's a vampire?" Asks the doctor. Signing no Michael answers. "Some things.. are better left unknown. Lest it will draw the attention of HIM."
