Zane wakes up startled by everything he just saw.
He looks around finding that the only ones awake are the Huntress, and Vicki, who is keeping Mika safe by letting her nap on her leg, with a hand on Mika's head.
Nasho takes notice of the startled look on Zane's face and asks. "Did you have a nightmare?"
"It felt real." The vampire teen answers.
With an understanding look The Huntress explains. "Ah, you've had a vision of the future. These things happen when your concerns for living beings of any kind go beyond that of what a vampires abilities allow you to comprehend. It's what makes you a true vampire, the peace bringer. Nickolis had many sources to help with this sort of thing. But I do not know how the help you with these visions." Mika wakes up and sits up. " Hey you're awake." Vicki says.
Then Mika puts her hand on her stomach. "I think... I'm feeling sick." She runs off.
"I think Nevaru's cooking got to her. I thought it was pretty good." Zane opens.
"Different people have different tastes." Answers Nasho.
Vicki signs no saying. "That's not it, she loved it, and it's, like, morning, so she would've thrown up last night, but then again her and I were talking the other day and....not to mention, this has been going on for a month."
In understanding Nasho says. "Oh... I did not realize... why did she say not anything?"
Zane walks into the old school ruins allowing the two to talk. "I've dealt with a lot of things. But there's some situations that have to be dealt a different hand to avoid the trouble on a battle field... Now I sound like my uncle."
"Mika doesn't say much anyway but she'll confide in me since we've been friends for a while." Vicki explains.
"Well until her situation is over I am asking that she not come with us for the remainder of this journey. The path is too dangerous to put more innocent lives in danger." The Huntress explains.
Vicki nods and walks off to find Mika.
Nasho leads Zane back outside, and over to the fire while explaining. "While Mika's understanding of LA comes in handy we cannot risk putting her, and others in danger."
She drops a bit of dust into the fire then says. "Hold your hand over the fire."
Zane does as told, and the flame turns blue. "What did i just do?" He asks stepping back.
"You have shown the flame the peace bringers hand. The flame is between life and death. It does not bring life, and it does not bring death. First vampires once used this to free one's self of the temptation to steal the blood of a living being. Which as demonstrated by you was only ever done to those who truly deserved to die. Minarac thought he could curse the first vampires into joining him. Instead it only made their will to stand against the demon that much stronger. I was the first to see how this new found curse affected the first original vampires. Werewolves appeared to have been given the same curse but it didn't affect them the way it did vampires. Instead werewolves had this gift about them that made it seem natural to the kind. Tuka is exemplary of this. She was born into her race and thus was born with the gift of shifting between her human form, and her werewolf form." Nasho explains.
Raising an eyebrow Zane questions. "How did you learn the blue flame thing?"
As the fire returns to it's normal reddish orange the Huntress answers. "It was a natural gift from my home dimension. Nickolis and i come from a timeline where in our dimension Minarac succeeded when Azriel Hannible had an experiment succeed. As the story goes He didn't expect that the experiment would actually give the human he experimented on- - the ability to destroy entire worlds. And this the dimension i came from was brought to it's destruction. Nickolis, and i made a promise to make sure that what happened to our dimension never happens to this dimension."
Nevaru sits up questioning. "Where's Tuka?"
"She said she was going to talk her pack into meeting us at the dragon stone temple ruins." Zane answers.
With a nod Nasho adds. "The temple ruins is in the denser part of the forest. So we need to leave at the earliest sign of daylight. Both of you need your rest. We have a long day ahead of us."
With a nod the guy lays down by the fire. It flashes blue for a moment then returns to normal. Within moments both Zane, and Nevaru are sound asleep.
Nasho stands up and turns around drawing her sword when sighting Azriel. She steps in front of the sleeping Zane.
"Oh come now Huntress. You have fooled the Nuru child long enough. It is time to stop with this game." Azriel opens matter of factly.
Signing no Nasho answers. "I do not serve your ideals Hannible. You and your Corruption have desecrated the name We vampires once went by."
"You should not go as low as to call me a fool for trying to release the master who gave us the power to take the blood of a living being. Vampires were given the gift to take the blood of humans for reasons very well known. We should use that to our advantage." Azriel explains drawing his sword.
"You do not know what a gift is." Nasho replies.
With a smirk Azriel puts his sword away saying. "I did not come to fight. I came to find Mika Valentine. Her child will be the one to bring forth Minarac."
The Huntress tightens her grip on the blade then yells. "You'll have to kill me before i'll ever let you bring forth the demon that turns Earth into a wasteland."
She charges Azriel who goes to draw his sword, he is stopped when Nasho kicks him in the gut sending him through a wall of the old school building. The sound of the breaking wall is enough to wake Zane, and Neva up. They notice how close they were and turn away from one another blushing. They stand up and follow making sure to stay out of the fight
"You forget one thing Hannible. A true vampire is extremely well known for his or her strength, and you lost the rank of true vampire when you sided with Minarac. Nickolis Nethsur made an example of you when you tried to kill him and cursed all vampires to burn in sunlight should they fall to the path of evil. Yet you still remain evil." She explains as she sprints at Azriel nailing him in the gut then throwing him through a door.
The dark vampire stands up just barely dodging a swift kick. He runs into what looks to be a pool room. The Huntress follows only to watch as the dark entity turns into smoke and fades.
"Hell of a wake up call." Nevaru says with a yawn. She and Zane head back to the camp fire and lay back down next to one another drifting off.
Elsewhere Tuka can be seen in a village talking with an elder man. "A true vampire, and my friend Nevaru have the peace bringer with them. I would like to request that we use the be balance stone for the peace bringer. We need all the help we can get in order to defeat Azriel Hannible, and the dark forces before they have a chance to release the ancient demon Minarac."
The elder man shakes his head then says. "Tukavo I have told you time and time again that vampires cannot be trusted. Nasho the Huntress is the only vampire we can trust."
"We're with a true vampire called the Huntress. She knows about the dragon stone ruins. She's the reason i'm talking to you about the balance stone. Please pack elder Vanao" Tuka explains.
The elder man nods saying. "Bring the vampire, and this alleged 'peace bringer'. I will see for myself if you bring the truth."
