Unknown Souls

Gigi's p.o.v

I have recieved over millions and millions of texts from harry today. I dont know why im not replying to him though, he didnt do anything wrong but i just dont feel like talking to him right now

"Zayn!" I yelled out from my window, as he opened his curtain and i saw that he was shirtless. I looked down and saw that he wasnt even wearing underwear but luckily his little friend wasnt showing. "Do you even take clothes in consideration when talking to girls?" I rolled my eyes, looking down and not at him, even though it was hard not to stare at his body.

"You were saying?" He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows as he stared at me. "I was saying, do you need help with the preparation?" I asked, biting down my lower lip. Planning on for a party has always been so good

"What a swift way to ask to spend more time with me hadid, and yes i do" he chuckled, making me shake my head at him. "Its not like that. Just a small payback for your tutoring lessons" i laughed, crossing my arms around my chest

"I have a few thoughts of how you could payback hadid" he licked his lower lip, staring at me from head to toe. "Oh i would, but you have a girlfriend" i pulled my tongue out at him teasingly then closed my window

Today im visiting Mariana, im bringing some cupcakes and coffee for us to have breakfast together. I asked her to wait for me today and i hope she still remembers

"Mariana!" I ran up to hug her, as she hugged me back. "Im so glad you came my dear" she whispered, as i noticed a small tear hanging by the edge of her eye

"Something wrong?" I bit my lower lip nervously, sitting down besides her. I interwined my hand in hers and waited for her to talk. "I-whats todays date?"  She hesitantly asked, making my heart shatter. "Its june 3rd" i stated, as i saw her close her eyes deeply

"Can we go somewhere?" She asked, warming up my heart. "Where do you want to go mariana?" I asked, carressing her shoulder. "Can you take me out for lunch?" I smiled, feeling like she misses being with people. "Lets get you ready then!" I clapped my hands and stood up, led her wheel chair into her room and went through her stuff

I found a beautiful dress of hers, and some ancient pearls and earings, and i got her into them. I softly combed whats left of her hair, and stared at her. Shes such a beautiful old lady

I led her into the forest, as she placed her hand on every tree, every branch, every flower on our way. Like she had secret sessions with everyone, and everything and now shes saluting them after all those years

"Its still the same, it never changes" she stated, closing her eyes and smiling widely. I grinned to myself, once we were already out of the woods.

"Would you like to go to berny's?" I asked, once we got to my car. "That ol' place is still on?" She giggled, putting out her hands for me to take so i can place her in the car

"Gigi!" I heard zayn call me, and i immediately turned and saw him run towards me. "Let me help you" he smiled, then helped mariana up and softly placed her inside the car. "Thank you gentleman, are you zayn?" Mariana asked, making my cheeks heat up.

"Yeah that would be granny. Did gigi talk about me?" He smirked, leaning besides the car. I face-palmed myself, remembering when mariana spoke to me about "heart signals"

"Always my dear" she stated, as zayn turned to look at me with a big smile. "Are you related?" He asked, mariana beat me to answer instead. "We're related by faith, soul and time" she answered, making my heart melt

"Aw how nice. May i join you?" He asked, and i looked at him with wide eyes. Mariana replied with a yes, and he immediately clapped his hands happily. Who is this guy

"I thought you had a party?" I raised my eyebrow at him, as i got inside the passenger seat, for zayn to drive instead. "The party can wait, but taking two beautiful women out for lunch is a one in a lifetime chance" he smirked, flirteously. I rolled my eyes, then saw zayn smile at me in a way he never did before.

Once we got to berney's, zayn chose a table for the three of us, he even opened my and mariana's chairs for us. "I like this boy gigi" mariana whispered in my ear as zayn went to get us menus.

"You should bring him sometimes with you" she giggled, and i laughed knowing that she wants to let him in her mysterious story, that will get him hooked too

"I think he likes you" she raised her eyebrow at me, as i felt my whole face go red and heated up. "He has a girlfriend marie!" I chuckled, as she pouted her lips sarcastically

"But honey, you need to get married before i die. Or else whos going to live in that dirty ol' house?" She giggled, covering her mouth with her shaky small hand. My heart broke a little at the mention of her death, such a beautiful soul unknown to the world. Maybe thats all we'll ever be, unknown souls.

"So my ladies, what would you like to have?" Zayn gave us our menus, as i looked for something for mariana to have. "I would like to have chicken&mushroom with some salad and mini fries" she stated, smiling down at herself

"Mariana, why did you want to come here specifically?" I asked, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

She searched around her dress, trying to find the small pocket hanging besides her chest. She shakingly took out a paper and gave it to me.

"June 3rd, 1953 at berney's was my first date"
