Why did I do that? Why on earth did I kiss him? Nice going Avery. I have opened a can of worms not just that but I initiated the mating bond! Why did I care if he went and killed Amir, hell why did I even try and stop him? I really need to get my priorities in line because me and Clayton cannot any closer.
I trudged my way up the stairs and around the corner and the sight infront of me would have been comical but I was too confused to what was going on. There stood Austin and Libby having a starring contest, Austin looked irritated and Libby looked so smug it was hurting me.
“What are you doing?” I asked him he threw a glance my way and the back to Libby.
“She won’t say anything! Look at her! She’s doing it to make me mad!” He yelled.
“Austin you’re acting like a child you need to calm down, she’s deaf she’s not gonna answer you asshole.” I told him shooing him away.
“Yeah well maybe you should answer the door next time instead of trying to get into Clayton’s pants.” He shot back walking up the stairs. Seriously what is his problem? I turned my attention back to Libby who was just standing there.
What are you doing here? I signed. I don’t even know where to start this conversation
You bailed at school yesterday and I hadn’t seen you today and my mom text me telling me she had to go to the infirmary because there had been a really bad fight and I was worried it was you or one of your guys, then my mom text me again and said you were in bad condition but you weren’t there and what kind of bestfriend would I be if I didn’t make sure you were still alive. She was signing so fast I almost missed half of that. He heart beat was a little elevated and she was actually fidgeting, she was worried about me. This was a foreign concept to me because if I’m being honest Libby was my first friend, and honestly it felt nice to have someone besides my dad and Austin.
I’m fine really, no worries. I told her trying to ease her anxiety.
You don’t look okay, there’s blood on your shirt. Your face is flushed, but I’m gonna go with Clayton wasn’t here for the guy that answered the door. Your hair is down, so I’m gonna guess you were trying to cover the already healing neck wound. She stopped daring me with her eyes to lie again.
I sighed and motioned for her to follow me into my room. There are sometimes when talking to Libby frustrates me because sign language is so detailed everything I want to say takes forever. So I would rather show her. I closed my door and motioned for her to sit down.
I promise he was in worst shape than me. I said prying off my shirt to show her my cuts. I’m already healing, it really doesn’t hurt Austin gave me something for pain. I’m not lying. It just had to be done.
She just looked at me as if she was deep in thought.
I knew Clayton would end up being you’re mate. She said with a smirk.
What are you talking about he isn’t. I said grabbing a shirt and pulling it on.
Yes he is. He stopped me yesterday and asked if I had seen you. Now, why would the future beta of the pack stop to ask the omega anything, especially a girl? She said so sure of herself.
Don’t call yourself that. You’re not an omega. I said pointedly.
That’s another thing I wanted to talk to you about, will you train me? I know I’m not as strong as the guys and half the people in this pack, but I don’t get to train. I don’t know how to defend myself and if something happens there might not be anyone around. I didn’t know what to say, Id don’t know how to even train someone who is deaf, I can’t sign her instructions that’s a waste of both of our times virtually frustrating both of us.
