While weight training is a given for most men, many women shy away from that particular area of the gym. Why? They're afraid of bulking up and looking "manly".

But the truth is...

YOU MUST LIFT WEIGHTS TO LOSE BODY FAT!

Well, I shouldn't say MUST, but it makes it a whole lot easier

Well, I shouldn't say MUST, but it makes it a whole lot easier. Why?

For one, it will rev up your metabolism. When many people diet, they're metabolism slows way down. And they find themselves stuck, or struggling to make any progress at all. Gaining and maintaining muscle is crucial for fat loss. As you gain muscle mass, your resting metabolism increases. What does that mean?

It means you will automatically burn more calories.

"But will I get too bulky?" you might ask. The simple answer is no. Muscle doesn't grow over night. So don't worry about waking up one morning to find a bodybuilder's physique under the covers. It's just not possible. (Unfortunately) Remember: Pumping iron isn't just for athletes. Action stars, pop stars and fashion models HAVE to weight train. (Yes, the female ones too.)
