Mum and dad got everything they had inside ten minutes ago but because I sat in the car for ages when we got here and I just can't be bothered I'm still bringing stuff in. That guy across the road has been watching me the whole time and I'm starting to wonder if I'll end up like one of the other 'unsolved' or 'animal attack' victims, but it's my last bag now so once I get inside I won't have to see him again. Though really that seems unlikely it's a small town. See that's why I don't like small towns you can't not know someone.
I'm starting to speed walk into the house cause the guy just moved. He's now making his way across the road and up our driveway so I quickly slam the door. I can pass it off as I didn't see him.
"Harper do not start thinking you can slam doors in this house young girl!" Yells my mum from what I'm guessing is our new kitchen.
I don't reply as I make my way quickly down the hall to avoid the creepy guy. That's when I hear the knock at the door. I immediately cringe because I know what's coming next.
"Harper can you get that we're very busy and after your stunt in the car..." yells my dad but I cut him off.
"Yeah I'm going I'm going." I quickly say as I shove my bag down to the floor.
I walk to the door and unintentionally swallow hard as I reach for the door handle. I pull it open and the guy on the other side just stands there leaning on the door as he smiles wickedly at me. He had a strong build but he wasn't all muscle he had black hair and striking eyes that were a weird colour they seemed to be dull and electric at the same time, a blue that depending on where the sun hit them turned grey. For the colour they were the were striking and I couldn't look away. But this guy still gave me the creeps but at the same time made me feel comfortable.
"Uh hi. Can I help you?" I awkwardly say looking at him with an annoyed look on my face.
"My names Damon Salvatore. I noticed the house was brought thought I could show the new girl around town." The guy I now know as Damon announced to me.
"Do I get a say in this?" I inquired looking up at this terrifying but kinda hot guy.
"Of course but I don't think you have any reason not to go with me." Damon said now grinning down at me.
"What about the fact I don't know you at all and you could be a serial killer. It seems like my luck that a serial killer would come knocking at my door." I respond now smirking.
"Well I never said I wasn't a serial killer. Your totally right, you don't know me at all but I won't hurt you. Well not today anyway." Smirks Damon looking down at me.
For some reason I really want to walk with him and I think I'll survive he doesn't look to bad. But that remark about serial killers kinda scared me.
I swallow as I reply, "alright show me your town."
"You're a smart girl, I mean who could say no to this face." He finally stops leaning on the door and starts walking away before stopping and looking back adding, "how'd you know that it was my town?"
"What you own it?" Sarcasm lacing my voice before I yelled back to my parents, "I'm going out to see the town!"
"Ok be a good girl don't get yourself into trouble!" My mum yelled back.
"So what are you doing moving to a small town like Mystic Falls?" Questioned Damon as we made our way down my new driveway.
"My dad got a job here but my mum said we were moving because of the 'unexplained deaths' where we were living. She just said that because she promised no more big moves." I replied rolling my eyes.
