I rolled over and cracked my eyes open, the room fairly dark still despite the time. It was finally Saturday, and I was beyond relieved to have slept in.

Beckett and his friends had kept their heads down, letting the smoke clear before they were sent to Constance's office for punishment. Things had been quiet, but the kids in class had still looked at Beckett hopefully, eagerly awaiting his next rebellious move.

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I got out of bed and grabbed my things, heading down to the bathroom and showering. I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair before heading into my room and getting dressed, carefully rewrapping the bandages on my hand.

Fagan was awake, scrolling through his phone, buried under his blankets. I sat at my desk, wondering if Beckett came to the campus on weekends. Hell, wondering if Leon came to the campus on weekends. If his dad was the headmaster here, they probably lived nearby and Leon commuted.

Our door opened and Beckett came in, answering my question. Tessa followed behind him, both of them showered and dressed.

"You're so lazy. Get out of bed," Tessa said.

"It's Saturday and I'll sleep if I want to," Fagan said.

"Did you get the Saturday call yet? Tessa hasn't," Beckett said.

"No, I haven't. Because some people respect my right to sleep in all morning," Fagan said, burrowing deeper into his blankets.

"What's the Saturday call?" I asked.

"Parents always call on Saturday to pretend they give a shit about you. They ask about your week and your classes and when the call ends, go back to forgetting they dumped you here," Beckett said.

"What the hell do you know?" Fagan asked, poking his head out from his blanket cocoon. "You've never gotten the Saturday call. You live with your parents. You get to hear their disappointment every day, not just once a week."

He ducked his head back under the covers as Beckett pulled a yo-yo out of his pocket. Tessa rested her hand on his arm.

"Don't. He'll never get out of bed if you threaten him," she said.

Beckett glared but put his yo-yo back in his pocket and sat down at Fagan's desk. Tessa sat on top of the desk and I looked at my phone.

"No Saturday call for you either, yet?" Tessa asked, noticing me.

                "Nah," I said.

"It'll be your first," she said. "It's always awkward."

I looked at my phone again, wondering if Ted would call me today. But it had only been my first week of school here, so I highly doubted he'd call me so soon.

Fagan phone buzzed in his hand and he cursed. "You guys jinxed me."

"And so it begins," Tessa said with a sigh.

"What do you want? Saturdays are for sleeping in," Fagan said, holding the phone up to his ear as he poked his head out of the blanket cocoon again. He grinned, letting out a laugh. "I have a roommate now. Guy named Brennan, totally hates my guts. I'm convinced he hates everyone, though."
