Sydney's POV
"Okay mom," I heard my sister reply before burying her head into her hands. I became worried. What did she have to tell me?
"Um...are you okay?" I slowly asked. I was terrible at comforting people.
"Yeah. I'm okay," I heard Rebecca reply with her shaking voice. While she looked up to give me a smile. I observed small tears falling down as she began to cry, silently, into her hands. I watched as my mother squats down to comfort Rebecca.
As I heard the oldest of all my siblings stop crying, I heard a group of people come down the stairs.
"Hey mom, this smells good!" I heard Arabella explain.
As everyone saw Rebecca, they all went to comfort her as well.
What the hell? Why is she crying? Probably being dramatic, like always.
I sighed. I snap out of my thoughts to my mom saying my name.
"H-huh?" I murmured while starting to move again.
Rebecca's POV
"So...Rebecca. What do you need to tell me?" Sydney asked with a mix of feeling confused and scared.
I could see it in her eyes. "Well, I have stage 2 breast cancer," I said before being embraced by my family.
I then realized, tears were forming from my eyes and falling to my cheeks, same with Sydney.
