Sydney's POV
I heard my dad get up and walk out, with a knife in hand.
"What are you doing?" Arabella asked. The door creaked open before someone rushed in.
I gasped, it's Janae. Once Janae and I made eye contact we ran to each other and embraced.
"Are you okay? Did you get bit?" I asked, concerned.
"No, I'm fine," Janae said sniffled, smiling, I smiled back.
Janae's POV
"We need to pack up all the food, water, weapons, and put them into duffel bags. Then, put them into the car. Okay?" Sydney's dad ordered.
Everyone agreed one by one. Then started moving.
"Should we each have our jobs?" Kate asked.
"I think we should. So no one stands here doing nothing," I stated, nodding my head.
"Okay, um, Kaya and Rebecca your jobs are to get all the weapons in the house together and make sure the guns have ammo in them. Then, put them in here," Her father stopped so he could breathe, then his attention went to Kate, Arabella, and Janae, "Your jobs are to pack all the food and water in duffle bags, they're upstairs."
"Okay, Janae go get the duffle bags," Kate told me as they ran to the kitchen.
"Then bring them into the living room!" Her dad shouted. "Sydney, go pack your siblings some clothes!"
Sydney nodded. She put Xavier in a play chair before running upstairs.
