I had to walk back to the dojo, so I had to fix my knee that broke sometime during the fight. I didn't remember when it broke, I didn't even feel it until later on. I made my way back and saw Jess waiting in front of the door. She saw me and immediately leapt into my arms. I held her in my hand and walked inside. Andrew and Rachel were already there. Andrew had some bruises on him and I could see Mary with her arms folded had blood on her knuckles. I sighed and gave Andrew a ball of life essence that dissolved and melted into his hands. Mary growled at me, and I shrugged back at her.
"Thanks Chris."
"Yeah, thanks Chris, now I assume we can start hitting him again?"
Fred cracked his knuckles but I stopped him. "Fred, he's fine, okay? He would've killed us already if we were enemies."
Eddy was glaring at him across the table. "Maybe he's trying to get on the inside scoop, probably to kill us all again."
"Eddy, I know how desperate you are for a rematch, but that's not it."
Mary slammed her hand on the table, making everyone jump. "Then what is it Chris? What is it?"
"Mary, please just calm down, his diamond corrupted him and his life essence was replaced by something else's."
"I'm not buying it." Eliza said from behind us.
"I agree. This is too farfetched, even for a diamond." Fred said, moving next to Eliza. Fred put his arm around her and Andrew stood up.
"You two are Dating? Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!"
They both stared at him puzzled.
"Okay, now it's just weird."
"What?"
"Well, you were together while you were in the school, so we figured that you knew."
"Well, Air knew, but I must have left before that happened."
Fred stared at him puzzled. "Okay, what?"
"Fred, I can see that his essence has completely changed, it's not the same person we fought. Trust me."
"I have trust issues, so I trust that he's not gonna kill us all again. I'll give you that." Fred said moving closer to Andrew. "I'll trust you that much, because this time, if you do, I swear to god you will definitely know what hit you. You just won't have enough limbs to stop it."
Andrew backed away from him, but stood enough of his ground to still look brave, especially considering who he was dealing with. Fred raised his hand and it ignited with orange flame. It changed color and glowed purple next to his face.
"I've been training myself to concentrate my heat energy so much that it makes this. This is concentrated plasma. You can 't stop this like you did last time. If you touch my family again I will rip you apart."
Fred put down his hand and the purple light faded. He walked back with Eliza and they both walked back to their room.
"Who was that?" Rachel asked.
"That's just Fred, he's Mary's brother and he holds some resentment towards Air."
"I can understand that." Andrew said nodding his head.
"Okay, Well same as him, I say. You're untrustworthy, but you won't kill us for 2 reasons, A you're not out to kill us, and B we'll kill you before you get a chance. So I guess this is fine." Eddy said.
"Yeah... fine..." Andrew managed.
There was an explosion from outside and I knew exactly what it was.
"Activists again."
"Oh no." Rachel said in horror.
"You can hide in one of the rooms if you want."
"That would be great, actually."
"Jess, lead her there."
"Wait, who?"
Jess jumped onto the table and Rachel stared at her for a few seconds.
"It's that way." Jess stated ignoring the expression on Rachel's face. She jumped off the table and walked towards the hallway. Rachel eventually followed behind her.
I walked outside into the cold and once again I was met with guns in my face. Eddy went underground and Eliza charged her hands, sending sparks in all directions. Fred came out close behind her and his hands lit on fire.
"I told you last time was your last warning."
"You're all under arrest."
Without another word I blasted off his arm. He screamed and people started shooting but stopped once the vines emerged and knocked them all down. The man in the front was shocked at the stub that remained off his arm. The vines contorted in midair, flinging the soldiers around left and right. Eventually I placed all of them on the ground, all of them had strong wooden bonds on them, keeping any of them from moving more than a few inches. I walked over to the man in the front and kicked him in the jaw. He went out cold and laid there for a few moments. I touched his shoulder with my life hand and his arm grew back quickly, layer by layer. His arm had completely healed and he woke up I dropped him on his back and he grunted. I put my foot on his chest.
"I'm giving you one last chance, ONE last chance. Leave and we won't kill you all." I waved my hand and all the wooden bonds fell. "Get. Out."
He scrambled up, holding his arm. Everyone of them stood up and turned around.
"Halt!" He yelled. They all stopped. They turned back to me and held their guns shakily at me.
"We're not done yet."
"You will be." I readied my death hand and waited for them to make a move. They didn't. Fred and Eliza stood to my right, and Mary and Sally came out of the dojo to stand on my left. The soldiers stood their ground, our hands still teeming with energy. Black fog started spilling out between them.
"Oh god." I changed my hands to green and the soldiers stared at me puzzled.
"Everybody RUN!" I shouted, but it was too late.
The scythe came out swinging into the soldiers and cutting them down by the dozens. Of the ten thousand soldiers, at least 50 of them went down in the first ten seconds. Eddy came up next to us and grabbed Mary and Sally, pulling them underground.
"Fred, take Eliza and GO!"
Fred didn't hesitate. He made his wings of flame and picked up Eliza and blasted off.
"ANDREW!" I yelled into the dojo as the soldiers started retreating. "Andrew get Rachel and Jess out of here!!!"
I saw him fly up with Rachel in his arms, blasting a hole through the roof. I figured I could use telepathy with him.
Andrew, do you have Jess?
Yeah, Chris she's here.
Get them to a safe place, I'll find everyone else and call you.
Good luck Chris. He said as our connection was lost. I turned back in time to see the reaper shove a soldier to her knees. The reaper ripped off her helmet and threw it to the side, letting the soldiers brown hair flow out. It pulled off it's hood and showed it's empty eye sockets again. She pointed her scythe at me, before bringing it up and back down into the girls stomach. The girl screamed at the pain as it brought it's scythe back up. I shot through the top of the scythe with life essence, and it hit the soldier across the back of the head before she was swallowed into the ground unconscious. It flew towards me as it's scythe regenerated from blade down, and I fell into the earth as it swung the scythe, barely missing my head as Eddy grabbed me in his free arm.
