The Reaper

I was shot back into my body, holding Jade in my arms. I looked around at everyone.
"Woah."
"What is it?" Andrew said.
Jade's head snapped back towards him and she let out a shrill cry. Everyone covered their ears as Andrew was taken into the air and pinned against a wall. He couldn't breathe.
"Andrew!" Rachel yelled, raising her gun and shooting it in the back. It turned it's head to her and dropped Andrew to the ground. It pushed Rachel across the room, and she slammed into the wall. Gwen ran to her as Fred attacked with his plasma beams. He hit it in the head and knocked it off balance, but it started getting back up. Fred started weakening, and eventually fell down unconscious. Eliza stood in front of him and sent lightning into it's chest. It shrugged it off, and continued advancing on her. Eliza grabbed Fred and leapt out of the way, but the scythe caught her foot. She screamed as she fell to the ground, her foot split in two. It lifted it's scythe for a final blow, but suddenly gravity shifted. It fell into the wall and then into the ceiling. Before it could get thrown into the floor it threw it's scythe at Sally, slicing through her leg. Sally screamed and sent out a shockwave that knocked it down, but it was up in moments. Mary whipped a tendril around its throat and dragged it to the ground, jumping up to stab it's head. It took the stab to the face and kicked Mary in the back. Gwen rushed up behind it and stabbed it in the chest with a knife. It shoved her off with enough force to push her into the ground, and kicked her back across the room, knocking her into Rachel. Nikki jumped and kicked it in the face, and then swiftly ran away to avoid an incoming strike from a scythe. She dodged under another swing and took its legs out from under it. It fell and tried to swipe at Nikki again, but she had already run off. Eddy lifted the ground beneath it, pushing it into the ceiling, and then pulled down a section of the ceiling to crush it back into the ground. He threw a massive boulder at it and it cracked through it with it's scythe. It rushed towards him but I grabbed it by the ankle and threw it into the wall. I was so full of red essence I could see it pouring out of me. It slowly backed away, grabbing it's scythe and trying to run. I used my red essence to make a whip and I wrapped it around it's leg. I pulled it to the ground and started pounding it's head into the earth. I ripped off it's hood, showing Jade's bloody face, and kept bashing away at it.
"Where's my daughter?" I mumbled in between strikes. Jades head was healing, so I continued hitting it harder. I grabbed it's head in a large red hand, and threw it into the wall.
"WHERE'S MY DAUGHTER!!!" I screamed at it as it fell to the ground. It held up it's hands in surrender, but neither hand was holding Jess. I ripped one hand off and as it screamed I pushed the other hand into it's stomach. I punched it's elbow until it's hand went all the way through into the wall. It tried to break free, but it was completely stuck. I punched it again and again, until eventually Nikki came and kicked me in the back. I didn't entirely feel much, but I felt enough to snap me out of that state. I turned to her and the red essence turned green. She was absolutely terrified, so I used some of it to cheer her up. She calmed down and I hugged her.
"I'm sorry Nikki..."
"It's okay... We're okay..."
I looked around at everyone. All of them were on the floor. I used a life bomb to heal everyone and walked over to them, helping Eliza stand up.
"I'm really sorry guys."
"No, it's fine Chris, you got it."
"Yeah, but-" I turned back and it was gone. "Oh no."
"We lost it?"
"It would seem so, Mary."
"God damnit, now we have to find it again!"
"I don't think we do."
"What are you talking about?"
"Andrew, I saw the original group of diamonds, the Air diamond turned against everyone and killed a woman named Jade."
"Sounds familiar, Air goes on a murderous rampage and people die." Mary said, glaring at Andrew.
"After that the original life diamond was consumed by death essence, he used his ultimate and he killed Air, and Jade's essence was absorbed by the essence, making her into the Reaper."
"So this Jade person, she's the Reaper?"
"Yes, her essence became that thing, and I think it's out to get Air. The original. The one who fused his essence with his diamond. He's still there, and she's after him. He was the one who was supposed to die, the death essence blast was supposed to kill him, but he's still around. Nature is angry."
"Why should I kneel down to natural law." We all looked at Andrew. He was facing the ground, but I sensed his smile.
"Andrew... You alright?"
"Never been better. I'm back."
"Andrew?"
He laughed and turned his head up. Before anyone could say another word Eliza hit him with a bolt of lightning. She shook her hands and we all looked back to her.
"Hey, I saw that happen once already, and last time I died."
"You've got a good point. Eddy, make a chair for him, lock him in it."
"Alright Chris."
"Fred, could you melt down some metal for us?"
"Yeah sure."
"Mary?"
"Yeah? What is it?"
"Could I talk to you"
"Oh, yeah sure."
"Come on."
Nikki jumped after us, she didn't think that I noticed her, but I did.
"So. What's up?"
"I was just wondering... What's between you and Andrew?"
"What do you mean?"
"You saw in there that Air is a completely different person, why can't you accept that?"
"Okay, I have accepted that!"
"Then why is this so hard?"
"It's because I loved him!"
I stopped. She turned away and held her head in her hands.
"It was before all of this started, we were both 16 and it was before he killed his mother. He said he felt at home with me, and I felt safest with him, so we stayed together. One thing eventually led to another, okay?"
"Okay, I got it."
"Then he stabbed me in the back. He didn't tell me about the voice, he didn't trust me enough to help in any way."
"Mary,"
"No, he trusted Steven though."
"Mary, he's six feet under now, okay? He was trying to protect you!"
"By hurting Steven!"
"He didn't-" I stopped.
"He wasn't trying to protect anyone. He was just lying to me because he didn't trust me."
"Mary, I'm sorry."
"I trusted him though. I trusted him and where did that get me? Six feet under the ground. Okay? Six feet."
I grabbed her arm and pulled her in and kissed her.
"You talk too much."
"You watch too many romantic comedies."
"Wow, low blow."
She laughed and kissed me back.
