Before we all left the soccer game, we agreed to meet up in an hour at my house. Of course, I was pretty sure the guys were going to Luke's house since I saw his car in his driveway as we pulled up to my house.
"Oh my god, what do we wear? What are we supposed to wear?" Whitney babbled, slightly freaking out as we got out of the car. "This is our first party ever and we were invited but the three hottest, most popular guys in our school. What the hell do we wear?!"
"Whoa, Whitney! I didn't know you knew how to swear!" I chuckled, trying to ease her apparent worry. "But seriously, there's no need to freak out. I'll pick out something for you guys to wear, and we'll be done in a jiffy!"
"You make it sound so easy," Whitney continued. "What if we look like total awkward fools? What if everyone knows it's our first party?"
"If you make it look like it's your first party, than everyone will know," I replied, opening the door to my house and heading up the stairs. "Go ahead and go to my room, I'm just going to let my mom know."
"Hey mom?" I said, knocking on her door before walking in. I found her lying in bed, curled up in her covers with a book. "You okay?"
"Yeah, fine, fine," she said, closing her book and taking off her reading glasses. "What's up?"
"So, there's a party tonight celebrating the game," I started.
"Did the boys win?" My mom cut in.
"No, but we almost lost. The shot that tied the game was incredible," I said. "But anyway, there's a party to celebrate, and Amelia, Whitney and I were invited to go with Luke and two of his friends."
"Danny and Tyler?" she questioned.
"Dalton and Tyler, but yeah. Can we go?"
"It's fine with me as long as the girls' moms are okay with it," she shrugged, picking her book back up.
"Thanks mom" I smiled, before staring at her for a minute. "Mom, are you sure you're okay?"
"Honestly sweetie, I'm completely fine," she said with an amused smile. "I do like to sit in bed and read every once in a while, you know."
"Okay, okay, fair enough," I said, putting my hands up in defense and backing out. "Thanks again, mom."
"No problem!" I heard her call as I closed the door and headed upstairs. I took the stairs two at a time, seeing Amelia and Whitney crowding my window.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked, walking over to see what they were doing. They jumped back in surprise, not hearing me walk in.
"The boys are chilling shirtless in Luke's room," Amelia said dreamily. "God, they're so beautiful."
"Oh my gosh," I said, rolling my eyes as I walked over to them. Look out the window, there was indeed three very shirtless, very beautiful boys at our eye level. "Did you guys ever think about what would happen if they looked up and saw you guys watching them?"
Just as I was about to close the blinds, Luke looked up and caught my eye. He quickly got the attention of the guys before pointing at me and waving.
"Oh god, they caught us!" Whitney cried, hiding her face in her hands.
"No they haven't," I said. "Just wave and act normally. They'll never."
Facing my attention back on Luke, I couldn't help but sweep my eyes over his perfectly toned chest. Realizing that he could probably see me ogling him, I snapped my eyes back to his, catching him smirking at me. With a quick smile and small wave, I quickly shut the curtains.
