School always seemed to finds it's way back to me. The weekend always went by way to quickly.
I was currently sitting in photography, my last class before lunch. After lunch I had French, and then I was free to go.
"What are you thinking about?" Luke asked, staring at me right in the face.
"About how much she wants to date me, of course," Dalton said with a smirk. The classroom was set up in tables instead of desks. Each table held four people. However, since our class was small, Luke, Dalton and I shared one.
"Only in your dreams," I said, rolling my eyes. "No, I'm dreaming about the weekend."
"It's only Monday," Dalton chuckled. "Sorry babe, you still got four whole days."
"Ugh, don't remind me," I groaned, resting my head on the table. "Luke, you're giving me a ride home today, right?"
"Actually, I can't," Luke said sheepishly. "I have soccer practice."
"When did you try out?" I asked, trying to recall him mentioning it. "I didn't know you played soccer."
"That's because he didn't try out," Dalton said with a smirk. "He's so good that he automatically made the team."
"Wow," I said, impressed. "I'll definitely have to come check out one of your games then."
"Everyone, listen up!" Our teacher, Ms. Martin, called. "This week our picture project is Clandestine. Like always, you need to take a picture of something that describes this word. If you don't know what it means, look it up. You may have the rest of the class to brainstorm."
And that pertty much was how our photography class went.
"Do you know what you're going to do?" Luke asked.
I thought about it for a minute, trying to think of something that would be creative. "Yeah, I think so," I finally said, even though I didn't really.
"What?" Dalton asked eagerly. "I need some ideas."
"You'll see on Friday." I said, sticking my tongue out at him.
My phone vibrated in my hand, letting me know I got a text. Luckily, Ms. Martin was the chillest teacher in the school and didn't care if we had our phones out, as long as we weren't on them while she was teaching.
I quickly checked it, seeing it was from an unknown number. I curiously opened it, sighing in relief when I saw it was from Clara.
"Whose Clara?" Luke asked, looking down at me phone.
"Someone you don't know," I said, sticking my tongue out at him and hiding my phone. I skimmed it real quick, finding out the importance of the message. Apparently Clara wanted to meet after school so we could discuss what was going to happen now.
"Hey, I won't need a ride home today," I told Luke, looking up from my phone. "A friend is going to pick me up."
"This mysterious Clara?" Luke asked.
"Dude I didn't know you bat for the other team!" Dalton said, looking at me with wide eyes. "And why am I finding that so hot?"
"What?!" Luke and I both exclaimed. I was looking at him with a shocked and weirded out face, but Luke was glaring at him.
"I'm not gay," I said, shaking my head. "Clara is just a friend of mine. A friend that is a girl."
"Damn, I had my hopes up too high," Dalton said, shaking his head. Catching Luke's heated glare directed at him, he threw his head back and laughed. "Dude, chill. I'm only kidding."
