*Ash’s P.O.V*
I was talking to Eoghan when the bell rang. I was disappointed, I liked Eoghan, he was easy to talk to and nice to me. Nicer than anyone else at least..
Eoghan looked fr off, daydreaming.
“I guess I’ll see you around?” I said, but it sounded like a question.
“Sure. You want to hang out at lunch?” Eoghan asked, swinging his bag onto his shoulder. It made him look sexy, that simple movement.
Wait.. Did I just say that?
“That would be really nice,” I smiled at him. There was something about him… I couldn’t put my finger on what it was, but I wanted to hang out with him, get to know him better.
“I’ll see you then. Bye..” Eoghan seemed kind of sad to being saying bye.. Suddenly he leaned down and kissed my cheek. I felt myself blush, my cheeks getting hotter and hotter. I didn’t know why I blushed. Maybe it was because it was the closest I got to a guy, a guy that wasn’t hitting or bullying me anyway? Or maybe I was feeling.. Something for him? No, I couldn’t be.. I just met Eoghan! Besides, I loves Stevie!
While I was too busy thinking about all this, I hadn’t noticed Eoghan leave the room. I frowned. I didn’t want to have to wait until lunch to see him again! Oh well, there wasn’t much I could do about it..
*Lunch. Still Ash’s P.O.V.*
I walked in to the canteen and looked around for Eoghan. I couldn’t see him anywhere and wondered where he could be.
Out of nowhere, Stevie and ‘the gang’ appeared in front of me.
“Stiil up for tonight I hope, “ Stevie smiled at me, but there was something about his smile that gave me shivers, like he was planning something nasty.. I shivered.
“Aw, you’re cold, here take my jacket,” Stevie took off his team jacket and draped it over my shoulders, acting like a perfect gentleman. Maybe I had imagined the creepiness in his smile. He was just too nice!
“So, um, where are we meeting tonight?” I asked, hoping it wasn’t going to be a party or something. I hated parties, not that I’d been to many..
“How about the woods beside the skate-park? Around eleven? There’ll be no one else around that late,” he looked at me. “Just the two of us..”
Just the two of us.. That’s what I wanted more than anything else in the world, to spend time with Stevie. But even as he said it, I couldn’t help but get an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Even so, I nodded.
“Eleven.. Okay, I’ll be there.” I made to walk away to find Eoghan, but then remembered I was wearing Stevie’s jacket. “Do you want your jacket back?” I secretly hoped he didn’t, it was soft and smelt like him.
“Naw, it’s ok, but bring it tonight. I’ll see you Ashley.” He turned and walked away.
Ashley. My full name. I hated that name, that’s why I shortened it to Ash. Ash was different, uniquie. I liked it. I realised I looked like a loner, just standing there. I sighed. Not that it was much different from every other day of my life, being a loner I mean. I turned and walked out of the canteen to look for Eoghan.
