*Ash’s P.O.V.*
I was walking around the school looking for Eoghan, thinking about Stevie, when I heard my name being called.
“Ash!” I turned around. It was Eoghan, with a big smile on his face. I smiled back, happy to see the first friend I’ve had in a while.
“Hey dude!” I walked towards him. “Where were you? I looked everywhere for you!” I stuck my tongue out at him. Eoghan laughed.
“Around, you know, getting to know the school a bit. Have you had lunch?” he asked. I thought back. I hadn’t actually and I felt hungry. Just then my stomach made a weird noise. Eoghan laughed again.
“I’ll take that as a no then,” he took my hand. I felt my cheeks get hot again, like they had when he kissed my cheek. “Come on, we’ll go downtown for some lunch then I’ll teach you to skateboard.”
It was my turn to laugh.
“Me? Skateboard? I have absolutely no balance whatsoever!” I looked at him like he was crazy.
“it’ll be fun,” he said encouragingly. “come on, don’t be a spoilsport!” he pleaded jokingly. “Don’t make me get down on my knees and beg..”
“Okay, okay,” I laughed at him. “Come on, you might not be hungry but I am!”
“Yay! Food and skateboarding!” Eoghan grinned at me and I grinned back.
We went downtown to subway and get sandwiches. Walking down to the park, Eoghan was quizzing me about myself, about what I liked and didn’t like, my childhood, things like that. I was happy to tell him about myself.. Most of the things anyway..
“Right. It’s my turn.” I stopped him in the middle of a sentence. “Let’s get to know Eoghan Walsh” He stuck his tongue out at me.
“There’s not much to know. I’ve moved around a lot, I have a little sister called Casey and an older sister called Lucy. I skateboard, write and listen to music and I play guitar.”
“You play guitar?! Me too!” I yelled in his face, getting excited. I jumped around him happily. He grinned at my weirdness.
“Cool! How long have you played?” he asked curiously.
“Since I was eleven, I started by taking lessons in school and I haven’t given up.” I thought about why I had started, because my brother had.. Danny had played guitar.. Had.. Danny had died in a car crash when we were twelve. Yes, we. We were twins. I felt tears in my eyes but quickly blinked them away. I don’t think Eoghan noticed though..
“I started when I was twelve, same time I started skating too. Now I can’t imagine my life without doing either of them..” he said. “Skate-park! We’re here!” he grabbed a hand and ran into the park, pulling me along laughing.
We spent ages trying to get me to be able to skate, but I was having trouble staying on the board, let alone actually skateboard properly!
“Whoops!” I fell of the board. Again. I fell against Eoghan and we both ended up on the ground, somehow he ended up on top of me. “Sorry..” I muttered.
“Shh..” Eoghan brushed my hair out of my eyes and I looked up at him. I looked into his eyes, his gorgeous eyes.. Suddenly I felt a pair of soft lips on mine. Eoghan’s lips.
Me and Eoghan were kissing. And I liked it.. A lot.
