*Eoghan’s P.O.V.*

After work I raced home, took a shower and changed before heading over to Ash’s place. I wore an old band t-shirt I still had, [polyvore], music never gets old! I pulled on a pair of Vans and left my apartment.

As I drove over I was going over what I was going to say in my head. I didn’t want to seem nervous or awkward but I would probably be both! I pulled up outside the rundown building and turned off the car.

I took a few deep breaths before heading inside and climbing several flights of stairs. I stopped outside her door, braced myself, and knocked.

I heard footsteps approaching the door on the other side and a woman’s voice call out to someone. Shit, she has company.. Well now it’ll be even more awkward.

The door opened and there stood Ash, every bit as perfect as I remember, if a little tired looking. She stood in front of me, a shocked look on her face.

“Um.. Hey..” I wasn’t quite sure what to do now.

“Eoghan?! What are you doing here?!” Her eyes widened in surprise and shock.

“I. um, came to see you..?” It was more of a question than a statement. “I can leave if you want me to.” I so badly wanted to take her in my arms and hold her.

“No, you don’t have to. Leave, I mean. It’s just a surprise to see you, I thought you promised me you wouldn’t come looking for me..” A  hint of betrayal showed in her eyes. I guess I had broken my promise..

“I needed to see you.. I miss you Ash. My life isn’t the same anymore, it hasn’t been since we.. broke up.” Whoops, hadn’t meant to admit that.

“Oh Eoghan..” Ash gave a kind of sigh, like she was too tired to do anything like make me leave. “I told you to move on and forget me.”

Only she’s impossible to forget. “I know. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have come.. I’ll go now..” I heard light footsteps approaching the door and knew I should probably leave, let Ash get back to whoever was with her.

As I turned to go I heard a small voice. “Hello Mr. Man. Who are you?”

Ash shushed to small voice. “Avery! Shh! Come on, back inside.” I turned back to the door to see who the voice belonged to and found myself looking into the eyes of a small child. A child that looked almost exactly like me..

“Ash.” I felt weird, like someone had sucked all the air out of the room. “What’s going on here?”
