*Chapter 20 Well...*
"What," I said.
"Nothing," Chris laughed. We walked into the cafe. I saw Diana and waved. She smiled and ran to me. She tackled me. I groaned.
"Can't breathe... In....Pain," I said. She let go and smiled.
"Sorry," she smiled. She looked in her bag and pulled out 4 bottle. She took 4 pills out.
"You need to take your meds,"she said. Gina gave me a water bottle. I took my meds.
"Now meet the girls. Sienna and Naomi Rosario, Hayley and Dawn Holverson, Reina and Rebekah Gardner, Ardelia Thomas, and Annette Antonucci," Diana smiled. I waved and smiled.
"Girls meet Blythe, Christian, and Alex Maxwell,"Gina smiled.
"I got us a limo," Sienna said. We nodded and walked toward the entrance. We got into the limo and drove to the mall. The driver parked and we got out. We walked into the mall.
"Dyer fashions is a great shop," Reina said. We smiled and headed there.we walked in and they had a Hair salon, nail salon, makeup salon, dress, shoe and jewelry departments.
"They have everything," I said. Reina nodded. 6 girls and 5 guys walked up to us.
"What event are you ladies shopping for?" A guy asked.
"Christmas Ball," I smiled. They nodded.
"Let's get you started on dresses," a guy said. We each got a person. My person was James. Apparently he has a thing for Jake. The person that's helping Diana. He picked out a bunch of dresses for me.
"Okay ladies put on your dresses and come out we can judge and tell you how it looks."Jake said. We walked in and changed into our first dresses.
*61 dresses later*
*5:00pm*
we stopped at noon for a snack and went back to trying on dresses. Almost everyone had found their dresses. Chris and Alex left to go get their suits and get ready. They said they would be back. Only Gina, Diana and I were left. We put on our next dress. Diana was wearing a black spaghetti strap dress with cut outs by the waist on both sides and a left leg slit. She paired the dress off with simple hoop earrings, red heels and a clutch. Gina is wearing a sequined blue off the shoulder dress with a left leg slit. Gina paired the dress off with silver heels and a clutch. I'm wearing a long sleeved floor length silver sequin encrusted dress that has transparent angled panels with a cut open slit in the back. I paired the dress off with a diamond silver ring, silver heels and a purple clutch. I put on the earring lucas gave me. We walked out and their jaws dropped. The girls squealed.
"YES! YOU GUYS LOOK BOMB! THOSE DRESSES ARE THE ONE!" Annette said.
"Okay make up! Let's go. We need to hurry," James said. We got our makeup done lightly. We took pictures and paid for everything.
"Girls, Your limo is waiting for you through the back entrance," Jake said. We thanked them and got into the limo. We talked about the guys. I listened to them gush. I smiled.
"I can tell you girls really care about them. Those guys have helped me through everything. Especially Carson. So take care of him," I smiled. They smiled and nodded. We hugged. The limo stopped. The door opened. The girls got out. Then Gina, Diana and finally me. The flashes started. We posed for a couple pictures. Just the three of us. Then with the girls. The paparazzi shouting out questions left and right. We made our way inside. The whole room slowly quieted down and looked our way.
"Just smile and breath," Gina whispered. We reached our tables and we put our clutches down.
"Okay," I whispered. I can feel everyone staring at us. I felt a hand on my shoulder. So I turn to find Lucas."Well, Well,Well, Mr. Business cleans up nice," I said.
"I see Miss.Clumsy is still clumsy as ever," He smirked. I laughed."When did I ever say that I stopped being clumsy," I said. A slow dance came on.
"Touche. Now then, Can I have this dance?" He asked. I heard the girls sigh in awe or squeal.
"I guess. Why not?" I smiled. I heard a bunch of whispers going yes or a bunch of whispers going FINALLY! He took my hand and lead me the dance floor.
He put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer. I looked at him. He was wearing a black overcoat, black dress pants, black dress shoe, silverish white button with a black tie. He spun me and dipped me. I looked into his playful brown eyes and noticed how fit he looked. I noticed how his strong muscles were clearly visible through his suit. His chiseled jaw, evenly tan skin, and messy brownish black hair seemed to shine bright in the lighting. His slightly full lips seemed to be imitating his signature cute little smirk. He spun me.
"Checking me out again Miss.Clumsy," He said with a smirk.
"What? No, I was just looking at your weird button up," I said.
"Liar," he laughed. He lifted me up and put me down. Then, spun me.
"Whattt? Me? And Lie? Never," I laughed.
"Sureee. Whatever helps you sleep at night," He laughed. The song came to an end. We clapped along with everyone else.
"Well would you like something to drink," He asked.
"I'd love a drink," I said.
"I'll be back," he said. I walked back to the tables. The girls looked at me and smirked."What?" I asked.
"Really. That's all you have to say. After that," Sienna said.
"After what. I'm confused," I said confused. They stared at me with the classic "Are you kidding me right now" look.
"Didn't you notice?" Reina asked.
"Notice what?" I said slightly more confused.
"Wow," Diana sighed.
"When you two walked onto the dance floor. Everyone's jaws just dropped. Then, when you two were dancing. Everyone stopped or slowed down and just stared at you two. Everyone was looking at you guys. Even your brothers and parents. Carson and the guys too. Except Carson was smiling like an idiot," Rebekah said.
"I'm surprised you two didn't notice," Hayley said.
"Well, I understand why you didn't notice. Considering you two were staring at each other the whole time," Dawn said.
